I'll take a stab at teams. Throw in your opinions as we are getting closer and closer to the end of fb. The team picture is a little unclear but here my opinion about the north and south North 1. Wabasso/RRC they bring back a good group, but lost a few 2. Quad County a nice group who have gained a lot of experience 3. Redwood River Valley still getting there, but a nice young group South 1. Fairmont/MCW no seniors, but a tough group. (6th in state at 9GL Team) 2. Worthington lost too much to stay as competitive. They will still be tough 3. TMB/WWG another young group gaining lots of good experience. I think it comes down to W/RRC and F/MCW as the teams to beat. They look like the best groups coming back. I like F/MCW how they ended the year last year and the performance at ind. sections. they bring many of those kids back and I think will grow into some higher weights. Wabasso/RRC has been there before, so they are the champs until proven otherwise. Their kids know how to get it done for team. |

Just taking a shot in the dark as we really have know idea how much kids have grown. So cut me some slack. I am sure i will miss a few. Not much depth up top. Some teams might need to look at getting some big, strong upper classmen football players out for wrestling to fill the weights. A strong kid, physical kid in this section could do some damage. |

I wouldn't call them down... they lost a couple guys from graduation. The problem I see is that there isn't a complete team in the section. Wabasso is tough up top. Fairmont is stacked down low. Is there another team that can put up points down low and weather the storm up top against wabasso? Or save points down low and put up points up top on Fairmont... I don't know, we will start finding out in a little over a month. My preseason pick is Fairmont/MCW. I think they are too solid down low between 106-160. See if that pick changes once the season starts. |

I would say Wabasso/RRC is down from last year due to graduation, but so is every other team. I agree with Inside that they are tougher than nails up top as well as Fairmont/MCW will be down low. Worthington will still give Wabasso/RRC a run cause they also have studs up top and some of those matches can go either way. It all depends on how the lower and middle weights fill in and mature. This section will have some very good individuals coming out of it but as for a team we will have to see. I think there might be some suprises. |

Mason is an 8th grader. A very good wrestler indeed but may be little small unless he had a growth spurt. He may be undersized when kids start cutting down after the first of the year. Although, Rohman was small last year. |

Wabasso/RRC will win this section, Bart and Hindt have the "get ahead and stall out the win" thing down to a science. |

They won't get a lead against Fairmont or many other teams in the section. They will have to look for the big boys in the upper weights for bonus points and hope they aren't to far behind by then. |

How does w/rrc lineup shape up? I think they lost too much. F/mcw brings most back and a lot of experience now. One match turned around and the redbulls would have beat them. Don't count out quad in the north and Worthington and tmb/wwg in the south. We'll just see how everyone fills out their lineups and tries to replace those seniors from last year. |

Looks like the North has better teams. Worthington and F/MCW have some good individuals, but unsure how they will fill in the rest of the team. Luverne and Marshall have pretty good numbers on returnees. They could be darkhorses. |

No Prunty and Cody Coulter graduated. I think ratings will be a little different next time around. It's a tough task for the one doing the ratings, got to give him credit. |

if coaches don't send in any information then editor is making assumptions off last years state entrants. Only means something the last week of february. It is nice to view and gives kids some attributes. |
