I think that there will be a lot of individuals that will add depth at a lot of weights for a long time. Looking at the returners, there are a lot of underclassman.

Ten kids placing first😳. I know they are strong down low through the middle weights but that seems like a lot.
That is closer to Apple Valley and Simley territory...and STMA before they moved to 7AAA

I would say Fmt/Mcw will have probably around 10 kids that will place 1st at sections.106 to 170
Seriously? I say maybe 6. Rohman. Wolter, Ringnell, Anderson, Maldonado, and Stueber. Who are the other 4?

Simmonds at 106 or 113 could be another for F/MCW and the younger stueber

Anyone want to set some top 4s at each weight based on last years section results (obviously not going to be 100% accurate with weights.)

I will give it a shot, so don't beat me up over it. Obviously there will be some kids that have grown more than others. With graduation and TMB, Wabasso/RRC and Quad out of the section many weights will be pretty weak, especially the upper weights. They are not in any particular order.

The lack of depth in upper weights is pretty common statewide. I wish they'd get rid of 220 and add it back to a middle weight/lighter weight...

I think that Arredondo from RRV will be in the mix this year too. If I remember right he was sick for sections last year at 126 but is a solid underclassmen.

Lange at 182 or 195 could be a contender too with the brackets the way they are.

There's no way Blankenship beats Steuber if they're at the same weight. Cale is a stud. He passed out and the ref didn't stop the match at sections last year. Cale will not be denied this year.

How about Rose from mahaca around 120-126? Could make some noise.
Upper weights look wide open. That's probably why Fairmont/mcw is likely to win this section this year. They should cover the upper weights better and their bottom/middle won't lose many.

Should be competitive with a lot of good graduates and teams leaving

I see Jaxon Rohman is registered at 106 for the JJ classic. Does this hurt Fairmont/MCW chances of winning the section with him still at 106? They will be very tough down low but definitely would have benefited from everyone on their team to move up at least one weight to not give up those points at 182 and up.

He will probably wrestle as high as 120 for team like last year. They have enough good kids down low to move kids around. I don't think it will matter much.

Yeah I don't think many in section will take Rohman out 106-120

Valid question but last I seen he was about 140.... who's spot would he take? Looking up at someone's projected section placers he would have some studs to beat any lower than 145. Then 145 would have ranweiler and thein..... both returning qualifiers I beleive

Because of the inquiry let's look at a Red Bull's line up
106-rohman/Simmons
113-rohman/Simmons
120-Steuber
126-Wolter
132-ringnell
138-Anderson
145-Fitzgerald
152-Simmons
160-Maldonado
170-Steuber
182-Lange
195-Anderson
220-torsion
285-open

Key backups
106-sanders
106-Potts
113-jagodzinske
113-Lange
120-jagodzinske
126-Joyner
138-forseberg

With all that down low and there ability to slide in very good back ups at multiple weights, they should be a pretty hard team to beat. My guess is that the team race will be between them Marshall and an always resourceful worthington.

I think the red bulls cover up in the higher weights better than you think. Last year they had Steuber cover up to 182. With who they can slide in lower, theyll be better than your list

I agree I think you could see steuber all the way up to 220 this year if it helps the team. If I remember right last year he wrestled 182 in sections and nearly had a tech over Martin from Marshall.

Clearly with a team race looking like that, the south is the stronger half of the section, can the north put up another team to contend?
