If Fairmont/ Martin County West makes it to the state tournament which it looks like they will. Would anybody want to take a shot at a box score with some of the top teams in AA Scott West ,Kasson, Perham or Simley |

Our Conference tournament is a team dual tournament this year. West central conference. I believe the coaches voted on the choice between indy and team for this year's conference tourneys. What I don't know is if that was state-wide, or voting by conference. |

Why would it have been a state wide vote? This decision has no impact on teams outside of the conference. Many/most conferences don’t have a tournament any longer. |

Marshall will be the Big South West representative and Fairmont will be the East representative I believe this year is hosted by the West |

I assumed it was only our own conference, but didn't know for sure. That's why the question mark. We are not in the same conference as Marshall. I was just pointing out that "our" conference is now a dual tournament for the first time. |

Fairmont vs. Marshall Feb. 9th in Marshall. The west is the host team this year. Next year the East hosts the dual. Not sure what teams are east and west. |

I would assume the "East" and the "West" are the old conferences. So east is the old south central conference of Blue Earth, Fairmont, New Ulm, St. James, St. Peter, and Waseca. West would be JCC, Luverne, Marshall, Pipestone, Redwood River Valley,Windom and Worthington. |

FMCW vs. Marshall will most likely be the section 3AA finals. Assuming that FMCW will be the 1 seed in the south and Marshall the 1 seed in the north. Should be a great dual! |

I haven't closely compared lineups, but I thought when I looked last week, they might match up pretty well against Marshall. I know they have no chance against Fairmont. I am just not real familiar with Marshall's lineup. |

I had to research what happened on Tuesday... Wabasso over United by 2. Marshall over Wabasso earlier in the year by 13. Two other common opponents, RRV and New Ulm. Marshall won both of those by a larger margin. Marshall has the edge on paper. We'll see what happens when (if) they meet. |

I don't think Marshall & United will ever meet in the section tournament. So if they don't meet in the conference, they may not meet at all. Marshall will be the #1 seed in the north. They are listed right now at 15-0 this season. |
