I think the Marshall Worthington match will be the closest of the day. I’d give the edge to Marshall for the fact they won the earlier match this year. Don’t kid yourselves FMCW is well ahead of this field. Good luck to the final four, and hope for no injuries! Please don’t kneel for the anthem, and have a fun day!!! |

I knew Fairmont was heavily favored, and i had watched them a few times this year, but man were they impressive in Marshall on Saturday. To beat a team in the section finals 49 to 20 is impressive. I can't wait to watch them at state, but I will say it's going to hurt them at state when they get to their last 3 weight classes, they are a bit weak. It will show at state. I have followed Marshall, Fairmont, and United the closest this year. I think stahl, and Martin make it for Marshall. United I see Trevon Johnson at 126, Peyton Mortenson at 160, Austin Schmitt at 182, and Sam Henriksen at heavyweight making it to state. Schmit has the toughest out, I watched him wrestle Steuber and he lost 7 to 3. I think it's a flip of the coin between him and Byrne. I would not be shocked to see Trevon Johnson upset prunty, I watched him beat hodges 14-2 of Marshall, he's an agressive freshman with 83 career wins. Also, I'd be shocked if Jaxson Roman of Fairmont doesn't win state, man is he impressive. Good luck to all the wrestlers, can't wait! Edited by AnywayPossible, Feb 18 2018, 01:59 AM.

Harazine is still in the mix as well. Should be one of the most fun weights to watch.) 152-Donkersloot vs Stark or Simmonds (Simmonds seems to be back and wrestling very well. Sounds like Stark was carried off the mat after loosing to Donkersloot at Team, may not be in full form. Another fun weight class.) 160-Mortenson vs Stahl 170-Martin over Lange 182-Steuber over Schmitt 195-Bahr over Neuberger 220-Haase over Wevely HWT-Henriksen over Maddock So I see it F/MCW-8 to 10 Marshall-5 Worthington-4 United-3 or 4 New Ulm-3-4 Redwood-2 MAHACA-1 |

I would say that not putting Steubers name in at 126 is a mistake. He may have a bunch of losses but if you look him up on track he probably has also wrestled one of the toughest schedules I have seen in awhile. Ripplinger-Has wins over Pickell Pickell x3 Suda Prunty x2 Kulseth 3 others total |

Also a mistake to leave Lebrija out at 113. He pinned Lar in the first period and was ahead 7-2 at the time. I am not saying he will do it again, but he should be the #2 seed going in. |

I would also put Blake Vagle at 106. State participant last year and very solid wrestler. I think he will be the 2 seed if he goes there. |

I agree there, have vagel and schutz meet up this year, regardless Vagel is definitely a contender to be in the finals. |

Who is up for a fantasy tourney this weekend, all in good fun. Teams consist of: 5 #1 seeds 4 #2 seeds 3 #3 seeds 2 #4 seeds 1 #5 or unseeded Scoring goes: 12 points for 1st 10 points for 2nd 6 points for 3rd 5 points for 4th 3 points for 5th 1 point for 6th |
