Implying that smaller school that have fewer kids per class to choose from are what is wrecking the sport of wrestling? The several question marks really confused me.

For example 10-12 years ago when my kid was wrestling the following teams had their own wrestling programs: Montevideo, LQPV, red rock central wwg, BLH, CACGB, RCW, MACCRAY, Dawson-Boyd, wheaton, Melrose, sauk centre, just to name a few schools that all had their own wrestling programs. now out of all these schools, united, wabasso, border west, bold, quad, and Melrose/sauk centre. that cut 12 wrestling programs down to 6, and I remember when most of these teams had half or even full b squads beforehand. I wish we could do something about that. How can we save wrestling. Even 6 years ago, the West Central Conference use to have a north and a south half I believe 12-13 teams in wrestling, and this year there were 7-8. We have to find a solution to this or fulda/mcc could be next..

Wrestling Fan Posts: 61 Group: Die Hard Member #23,547 Joined: January 28, 2016	Congrats to marshall successfully avoiding wabasso first round, so they can make final 4. Glad to see head to heads don't matter. Wabasso only beats marshall and redwood (who everyone in the north beat). Wabasso loses to United and quad and get seeded higher. Politics right there people. Playing the system. Everyone uses Welch being out as an excuse, so they should be seeded higher (should the Vikings get a superbowl ring because ap was hurt? No!) It is what it is. But I hope United and quad come through and beat both marshall and wabasso since there voted to avoid each other first round. There was an obvious seeding order, it should have been: 1. Marshall 3-1 (beating United quad and redwood) ( losing to wabasso) 2. Quad 3-1 (beating United wabasso and redwood) (losing to only marshall) 3. United 2-2 ( beating wabasso and redwood) (losing to marshal and quad) 4. Wabasso 2-2 (beating marshall and redwood) (losing to United and quad) 5. Redwood I looked at the vote tallies myself and everyone one was honest except for marshall and redwood. Why? Because redwood doesn't want to face wabasso and get crushed first round like normal (line up better with united) and marshall did the want to face wabasso because marshall can't make it past them to make final 4. I would like to thank all the other coaches and teams for being honest. For you marshall and redwood, hope you both get beat and have to watch final 4. Karma sucks. To call out one program who deserved the 1 seed of politics is juvenile. I don't doubt politics played a part in quite a few of the votes but until they change the system, it is only guessing. Change the format and make everyone's vote public to each other.
