My biggest pet peeve when going to a wrestling match, high school in particular, is when they go to shake hands to start the match and one kid decides to shake with his left hand instead of his right. Is there any rule in the book that says which hand you have to shake with?

If the State High School League is going to crack down on how kids can tape their shoe laces, or being able to cross their head gear. One would think a more important focus would and should be in sportsmanship.

Don't see it very often by why is it considered bad sportsmanship?

Isn't the fact they are shaking hands the sign of sportsmanship by itself?

What if that kid had an injury on the right hand wouldn't we want a handshake of the left hand?

I actually hand this happen last year and other kid would only stick out his right hand. Had a little bit of a standoff so I made them shake with both hands. Problem solved :)
