Sounds like a really good situation for both parties. Vough is a big time recruit. He seems like a big strong guy who's good positionally, but its probably going to take a little work to get him caught up in the college game. He needs to learn to shoot and deal with shots better, but if he can adjust he should be really good. |

I would think it depends on how he does at Daktronics and Cyclone opens. Macki will be a fifth year senior so I would think he goes unless Vough is clearly better. |

I think that Vough will most likely be the best option for them this coming year and this should be their best year ever and the best one that they're going to have for a while. I would predict that Vough's redshirt gets pulled and Macki gets a few starts here and there. |

Just remembered Macki getting DQ'd against Kroells for too many stalling calls this past year. That was interesting. |

Pretty tough to walk off the high school mat straight onto the Div. 1 mat. Could happen, but let's not just hand him the spot. |

It hurts to see him go, he was a big part of Jackrabbit wrestling. It looks like he's headed off to coach for a worse team, under worse coaches, with less administrative support, that will have an even harder time recruiting talent, I hope that they're paying him a lot. It's going to be hard to fill that void at this point in the year. What will they do? Do they pull Cody Pack up from Legends of Gold as an emergency hire? Maybe they can pull Andrew Hochstrasser in, he has to be searching after the Boise State fiasco. |

They have a potential national champ at 133. Shouldn't be awful hard to get an aspiring lightweight coach to come and work with Seth. Jayson Ness and Matt McDonough are 2 names that come to mind. |

Purdue has been making gains the past few years, not the doom and gloom you seem to imply. Purdue recently lost Maple to Nebraska and that put them in this position to poach from SDSU. Unfortunate timing, but that is big time athletics. |

Okay, the score was tied so they went to criteria and they would have won if Rotert was 100%. SDSU was the better team last year and they are going to be the better team this year. |

Gillette also got hurt in his match and Mueller decided to throw himself on his back to give up a major. |

Well according to the Rabbit web site - in dual format - Purdue was the better TEAM last year. I have a whole list of "if's and but's" for the Purdue team also - but that is splitting hairs. Guess we will just have to agree to agree that last year Purdue was a better dual team in head to head action. Who is better this year - we will have to wait and see, unfortunately - they do not wrestle. Though NDSU and Purdue do wrestle - that should be a good one. |

That's a harsh realization, especially given that the Boilermaker site says that Purdue was the 12th best team in the big ten and the 50th best team in the country. I thought we'd really made some strides, but apparently we're in the lower third or so of DI teams. Let's not waste our time arguing, it looks like we've both got a lot of work to do to attain any kind of relevance. I just feel bad for Christian Pyles over at FLO, he was more than 30 spots high on his ranking of SDSU after that dual, he's probably going to lose his job. |

Both schools are pulling in good recruits and elevating their programs. Splitting hairs comparing the two IMO. |

He would be a good get, but he's probably a little out of our price range. He also just started up a club in Michigan so he might not want to leave that behind. |

Will they just bring on the heavyweight that is currently training there? Can't recall his name. Wanna say he wrestled at Gardner Webb or something. |

Flo just put out its rankings at 125 and it looks like Nato is likely going back to 125. Nato is the one guy that I felt might keep Gross from getting to the top of the podium this year. If he does go back to 125, Gross should be the odds on favorite to win the title. |

Gross wrestles at 133, unless there's some news about him dropping down that I'm not aware of. |
