Greco didn't go well

Freestyle.

Maroulis is a beast who should be more celebrated than she is. Great tournament. Beautiful overcollar slide by to foot sweep that inspired one of my sons to work on it this morning.

Congrats to the other female that medaled yesterday. Good luck to Gray in the finals match today. Nice run.

Looking forward to men's freestyle tomorrow and the next day (I think). I am hoping there are some good American highlights on the NBC channels that are playing (replay) some of this, and I hope that they are in my ultra-expensive cable package.

That was Ali Ragan, Adeline Gray didn't wrestle at World Championships this year.

So far so good today, the Men have 3 in the semis which just started. Steiber had a tough draw losing 11-0 to Rashidov and will still have to go through #1 Khinchegashvili to get to a Bronze match

Yeah, I thought I may have made a mistake, but was too lazy to check back to see what I had done. My apologies to Ragan.

Is David Taylor trying to become a bad boy, or is he a bad boy whose true colors are now shining.

He just tweeted that Cox' semifinal performance and lack of fight makes him sick. He was visibly upset and yelling at Zadick, I believe, after his last loss to Cox. I can understand all of this, and I really don't have a problem with it (in fact, it makes the sport a little more interesting), but these types of actions are out of the norm for what you typically see from wrestlers.

Yeah that was a little strange...Cox did not look great in any of his matches honestly, but I'm still rooting for him all the way. Seems a little shallow to call him out like that.

Never thought I would ever be cheering for Gilman, but I was. Came up short in the final against a tough opponent, but I hope he continues to improve.

Not justifying his comments at all, but it doesn't seem like a "bad" guy thing to me. It seems more like unchecked frustration. After his match with Cox I have to imagine he feels that he can be right up there at that level of competition so to see Cox lose to someone that he should have beat and know that he can probably beat that guy himself would be pretty frustrating. It's also really frustrating in general to watch Cox wrestle sometimes.

After his last match Cox said that Taylor needs to do some soul searching, and that he would be praying for him. Great response to sour grapes IMO.

3 out of 4 move in to the finals....
So it starts back up at noon central - right? Second question - only place to watch the finals live is Flowrestling? It looks like NBCSN has wrestling scheduled (on the Olympic channel - whatever that is) at the same time. Anyone know if they are going to show any matches live or is it delayed (or are they just pulling our collective leg)?

Today's medal matches are live on the Olympic Channel at Noon.

You can also watch live (and go back and watch all World Championships matches) on Trackwrestling for $9.99.

NBCSN tape-delayed Aug. 27 (2-4 p.m. CST)

Jordan Burroughs - World Champion - Final Score 9-6 over Tsabolov

Exciting finals match.. Burroughs has one of the best counter-attacks in the world - and of course, the best double leg .

They just announced that the team score is actually tied at 53 although trackwrestling has it listed as US still leading.

James Green in the hole, Kyle Snyder maybe 6 matches away...

Chamizo over Green 8-0. Chamizo very slipperly - Green initiated the action and Chamizo would finish on top... Score doesn't reflect the great effort by Green.

The 2 third place matches at 97 are next, then the Synder match for the team and individual championship.

Welcome back, JBs blast double. Haven't seen that much in the last couple years.

Chamizo seems like a tough matchup for Green. Granted, Chamizo is tough for anyone. Silver still pretty impressive.

Well worth the $10 and no video problems. I could do without those commercials though.

Up next: Mayweather vs. McGregor

Seniors and Juniors both win team championships! Has that ever happened for the USA? Cadets have a strong team coming up too.

That's probably the best/biggest wrestling match I've watched in my entire life. For the world championship for individual & team against the perceived #1 P4P wrestler in the world. It's takes a special individual to compete without any hesitation in a situation like that. Kyle Snyder is so fun to watch!
