Sounds like Bono intends to move on front Ruschell and Brandvold, the two remaining assistants.
This was a given from day 1
There were some people that hoped at least one would be retained. Obviously was a long shot.
I feel like I'm reading a beat writers twiiter account using information he read on a forum somewhere.

Askren is the RTC coach at Wisconsin. I would imagine will still be involved with AWA.

Kevin Jackson was being courted and chose USA wrestling position instead. A full time RTC coach takes a considerable long term financial commitment from donors. Instead of throwing money at someone after Jackson fell through, they continue to use the current staff with some part time assistance from others. We should have a full time RTC coach in due time.

Heard that before, I brought it up again because it must not take too long it only took Wisconsin a month or less. We need to get with the times in my opinion.

Listening to Askrens podcast. He will continue to coach at AWA. Will commute 40 miles to Madison on days he needs to be there, he will not be there every day. Hopes to build a training facility at his home and someday wants the athletes to come to him for some sessions. Badger RTC has two athletes currently and Bono will attempt to increase funds to bring in additional athletes.

Jared Lawrence is the RTC coach currently. Mack Reiter said on his podcast that there could be a new coach coming soon. Mack also stated that the MN RTC was set up in 2009 and they were one of the first groups doing this. So guess you could say MN has been with the times.

Based on having a defunct RTC program?
Name the paid coaches since 09 and the paid wrestlers? How is that “with the times”

Defunct?

Somebody better tell Sanders, Deshazer, Ness, Ness, Zillmer, Nelson, etc to not cash their stipend this month.

Lawrence is a paid coach.

Because Jerad is not a full time RTC coach. They are wanting to secure a full time RTC coach. There is room for growth of our RTC and that is what is being worked towards.

I don’t have a database of everyone to compete since 2009, sorry

When we get a full time coach we will be more with the times.

I appreciate the effort going forward but I don’t think we’ve exactly been keeping up since 09’. Tough when you see other programs landing big name guys and paying them a lot. Our club you hear whispers and rumors. I guess proof will be in the pudding, hopefully I’m wrong.

You are applauding Wisconsin who just hired Askren who will work in a similar capacity as Lawrence does. Wisconsin RTC supports two athletes.

Sure we aren’t at the level of Ohio State, Penn State or Iowa’s RTC, but I would suggest that we are even or above pretty much the rest of the country. Again there is room for progress.

I need to win one of these large lottery jackpots (preferably one over $75 milllion) and set up some amount to give the RTC a good "cushion" like a $3-5 million dollar one and then put in some portion of the "interest earned" on like the original $50 million (at 3% interest, that is $1.5 million/year before taxes...so probably not too hard to also throw in a good chunk every year or two to supplement the original amount). Gotta be some other deep walleted peeps that could help.

I’m applauding the fact it took them a week to get a RTC coach. Other than that they are near the bottom looking up
