You missed his whole point... The way you stated your opinion was to elicit a reaction. Nowhere in 8A response did he indicate the board wasn't for stating opinions or discussing them. I think both these guys sound like awesome people from everything I have read and witnessed. Would have been great to see them both at 197 and HWT for gophers. College should add a 220ish. I like odd number of weights anyhow and Kerkvliet wouldn't be the first tweener. Much more viable weight at college level than HS. |

Haha I love your monthly eligibility breakdowns of Gable and Kerk like they're puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together, but if you're Kerk why do you cut weight for one year when you could just work on getting bigger immediately for basically every other program in the country? Also, I doubt Kerk wants to be in school for 6 years, I know I sure wouldn't want to be. What happens if Gable gets injured and ends up having to take a redshirt? Throws a wrench into the puzzle. |

So you have the same feeling you had with Mark Hall as you did with Gable? Mark is at a meat grinder of a weight. I did not think he'd go undefeated at all. Mark took losses at the world level and I believe even in highschool?? (Brian Murphy?) Gable has dominated at every level, dominated college AA's, and has beat guys out of college that were tops in the US. No one in the college ranks right now has a chance at beating Gable. |

There is no doubt that Gable will dominate at HWT. The question was will he go undefeated in college? I would say no. Since it has only happened four times in history, and once in the modern era. A betting man would say no. Undefeated in history Sanderson 159-0 Uetake 58-0 Hodge 46-0 Koll 45-0 |

Does Gable redshirt like Sanderson did ? If so, what if he loses (like Sanderson did) during his true freshman year and then goes on to go undefeated the following 4 years? |

Then we pretend that he was undefeated like the Penn State fans do with Cael. |

Gable does not redshirt unless it is a Olympic redshirt in 2020. He wrestles next year. I personally would wrestle him in 2020 as well. I believe it should be a limited schedule, but it would allow him to get the matches to be in great shape for the trials. The same as Snyder in 2016. |

With NCAA's in 2020 at home...I doubt Gable redshirts in 19/20. And "Get After it"---couldn't Kerk JUST wrestle FS in 19/20 and try to make the Olympics without starting his "Clock" and without "going to school for 6 years"? Isn't Aaron Brooks doing that this coming year instead of enrolling at PSU? He doesn't start his clock, he trains at RTC, the only difference is in 19/20 Kerk could get some scholarship money to "Olympic redshirt", maybe get a part time year of schooling done while wrestling in the major FS tournaments and training for the trials....plus he'd get to wrestle one of the best two Hwts. in the country in his own room, stay close to home, and if he pulls an upset on Snyder, awesome, if he doesn't he keeps his weight down and then wrestles one year at 197, in 20/21 with Gable at Hwt. as a Jr. (this would be the year he'd be a "True Fr." or 2nd year Fr.--with a reg. RS in his back pocket for Gable's Sr. year)... "Get after it"--it's not the worst plan in the world. Better then wrestling for the Pokes... |

Kerk is still getting bigger naturally. Me has been growing at a steady rate for 6 years (120 lb 7th grader) and isn't done yet. I see him getting to 240-245 easy. |

It may not be the worst plan for you and me, but it could be the worst plan for him. |
