Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	I would like to welcome everyone to the Forum -- both members and guests. If you are just visiting, feel free to register for a name and come join the party! As one of the moderators for the Forum, my duties are to guide topics down an appropriate course of discussion, deleting or locking them if they get out of hand. Moderators have the ability to edit posts, and warn/ban users if their comments are inappropriate. The guidelines which have been set for me as Moderator indicate that the goal is to make this a family-friendly environment. When making your posts, please express your opinions without feeling the need to include vulgarity in your comments. A "PG" movie rating will give you a good idea as to what is acceptable on here. Guillotine1 recently added a more specific list of rules for the Forum which state: Respectful opinions and discussions are welcome and encouraged on The Guillotine Forum. Please adhere to the following guidelines: No camp, open tournament, or other advertising No personal attacks No attacks on teams No profanity No threatening, abusive, intolerant or prejudicial language Those who do not respect the guidelines of this forum may be banned from participating. Offending posts will be removed. Views expressed by users of this forum do not represent the opinion or position of The Guillotine.

Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	RULES REGARDING "BUMPING TOPICS" Due to the increased traffic on the new Guillotine Forum, guidelines have now been established for "bumping" topics. When a topic is "bumped" it moves it to the top of the list. It has been decided that, in order to make it a pleasant and equitable experience for all Forum users, topics should only be bumped if there have been no new postings on the thread that day. If there have been no additional comments since the day before, you may bump a topic, but we encourage you to contribute to the topic as you do so since this will add to the discussion. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in suspension of your privileges to use the Forum, so thank you in advance for your cooperation. Your Forum Moderating Team

Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	Discussion Areas This area of the Forum is for discussing items of interest in regard to High School Wrestling. There are separate discussion boards for "General" topics, "College Wrestling", "Youth Wrestling", and so forth. From time to time you may see a post disappear from this portion of the Forum as it is switched and placed into the appropriate discussion area.

Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	Putting an Avatar Under Your Name There have also been several questions in regard to how you get an Avatar (the pictures under your names). The following detailed step-by-step guide has been written by one of the Forum members. Thank you to Viper for his assistance! This guide will show you how to choose an avatar. If you don't know what an avatar is, look at the picture that is below my name. The Guillotine has a small selection of pictures you can choose for your avatar. 1. In the upper right hand corner you see in bold it says My Controls - go ahead and click that. 2. On the left hand side you'll see it says Personal Profile. Under that click the link that says Edit Avatar Settings 3. Choose an avatar from one of the four galleries then click the Go button. 4. Click the bubble of which avatar you want then click Use Selected Avatar. You are done! Under the part where it says Your Current Avatar - if it has the picture you selected then you are all done. To return go to the upper left hand side and click The Guillotine Forum EDIT: The admin has givin us the ability to upload our own avatar. If you have at least 30 posts do the same thing in steps 1 and 2 but when you get to 3 click the browse button and then choose the picture you want to upload. Most of the time it will shrink it down to size. Then once you have chosen the picture click update avatar and then you are done.

Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	Changing Color or Size of Type If you are trying to change the color, size, etc. of what you type and you are getting odd-looking posts that have things such as [color] or [size], don't give up. You're almost there! All you have to do is click on the link entitled "CLOSE ALL TAGS" (which is right next to the drop-down color menu). If you click on the Close All Tags right before you add your reply, it should correct this and apply your color and size preferences accordingly.

Fantastic Posts: 6,331 Group: Fantastic Member #68 Joined: December 23, 2004	Editing Your Posts If you notice an error that you wish to correct, or you wish to make an addition or change to your post after it has been submitted, just click on the EDIT button on the top right of your post and you can go back to make the desired changes.

I would like to remind you all of the rules mentioned by LilMatCat up above.
