I think it will, at least in states where wrestling is a popular sport. I really do hope it gets big though.

yeah i wish it did because for really good wrestlers after college there isn't a lot more you can do like you can coach and go to the olympics but not that many people get to go to the olympics and i'm geussing wrestling is a lot more fun than just coaching and plus its not fair that every other sport has a pro team and not wrestling

when i went in to coach lil kids wrestling tonight my coach had a folder with all this info about real pro wrestling and this lil schedule to hand out to people. i guess they sent it to head coach. not sure if other coaches got it or not. i read through it. it has lots of info. hard part is going to find the auidience to watch it. coach is skeptical if it'll work or not. great idea.. but just hard since not a huge audience.

yeah my head coach got a folder too, there was a video tape in it too. we watched it and it looked cool. i just hope that the wrestlers wont act like football and basketball players and get all cocky and do drugs and stuff like that. wrestlings a clean sport and i hope this pro wrestling wont bring it down

That would be really cool if this Real Pro Wrestling thing took off. I think that it would really help the sport, and it might be pretty cool to watch.

I think it will be awesome to watch, hopefully it can get a big fan following and take off. It would be cool to have something past college wrestling. If this takes off maybe a wrestling video game could be made also, I thought they should always make a video game of amateur wrestling too.

Sounds like an awesome plan to me...I was unaware that there was a first season that already took place. But it sounds more out going this year with more teams invovled and i really hope this catches on because wrestling is an awesome sport.

I really like this idea. If little kids stat seeing this, instead of the WWE stuff, they might get hooked, and the parents that dont know what our wrestling is, compared to WWE, will get a chance to see what it is all about. Some little kids, whoes family doesnt want to fork out the money for hockey, or dont want their kids to play basketball might decide tos ign up Junior for a tryout with the local youth team.
I hope it doesnt pull and XFL and do a one and done. I will be watching it, and i hope it is as great for the sport as it seems like it should be

I have always wanted to watch a real proffesional wrestling team wrestle. This will be great for the little kids too so they are not just seeing WWE and trying to do that stuff out on the mat.

funny, as I was hanging out at the OTT this weekend, listening to names on the PA and seeing famous faces in the crowd, I remembered and was thinking about RPW- wish I could see some old tapes/reruns of it again - Dennis Hall, part of the California Claw ? how AWESOME is that ? Minnesota Freeze ? right on- somebody dig up video of this, I need to watch it again-

They went about RPW the wrong way. If non-striking wrestling is ever going to succeed on a professional level, it needs to be live and local, with emphasis on team. Otherwise, you're not drawing in any more market than you already have at the amature level. You also need to open a sports book on it. People like to bet on horses, and you'd draw a lot of non-wrestling fans (which is really important if you are trying to make money off wrestling)

Lots of good footage on YouTube. Here's a match with Brandon Eggum (with European announcers)
