Carter Adams is wrestling 152? For real?

I guess 215 did well since we had people going for 1st, 3rd, and 5th, but I wish one of them would have won.

Congrat's to Adams for his 1st.

Fila Junior Greco
Eli Hutchison lost to Dave Albrecht in semi's (145.5).
Bisek (163) and Betts (185) also in finals.

Junior Freestyle
Looks like Deitchler will get Hutchison after this next round.
Jason Adams lost his first freestyle match. He has to be tired after winning Greco (8 matches) yesterday.

Eli Hutchison is doing Junior Greco (1st place - 9 matches yesterday), Fila Junior Greco (4th place - 5 matches today), Junior Freestyle (is 2-0 today) , Fila Junior Freestyle (starts tomorrow). He could easily have 20+ matches in 4 days.
Wonder why he isn't doing Senior Men's Greco and Freestyle?

Deitchler over Hutchison (2-1, 2-0). Eli is #25 in the top 100 senior recruits this year. He was ranked #1 (WIN) and #2 (AWN) at 135# this year.

My son said that Eli Hutchinson looks pretty beat up. He said his face is black and blue and cut up. I think the matches may be taken a toll on him.

Betts and Bisek both bring home stop signs in the FILA Juniors. I also heard that Seth Flodeen beat Jayson Ness in greco.

Does anyone know why the USA Junior brackets are the international style brackets, with a top pool and a bottom pool with the finals between the winners of the two pools
AND
the FILA Junior brackets are the old collegiate type brackets, winner moves on to wrestle winner, etc....

Ryan Adams had a nice draw. Ryan had Brent Mecalf in first round at 66kg/145.5 lbs.

Eli Hutchison (AK) is going for 3rd in Junior Freestyle today and is in losers bracket in Fila Junior Freestyle. He has had 22 matches in 4 days with at least another 2 today.

I think Dietchler IS the real deal- He went 17 and 4 in Vegas. 8 and 1 in JR Freestyle beating Hutchison and placing 2nd, 7and 1 in JR Greco losing to Hutchison 2 periods to 1 and placing 3rd and then going 2 and 2 in Fila Freestyle making it to the same round as Hutchison. All this as a sophmore in High school. I believe Jake will be one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of the state of Minnesota. He works hard, he studies the sport and he really is a great kid.

That's a no brainer but we have 2 more years to talk about this kid.

Eli Hutchison is going to Boise State.
(I spelled it like Hutchinson, MN too but it's actually Hutchison.)

He finished with 25 matches in 4 days.
I wonder what the # of matches record is for like 3 or more days in a row.

Talk about tough brackets. Senior Mens brackets are crazy.
66KG/145.5 lbs. (some of the names)
Chris Bono (NCAA Champion)
Doug Schwab (NCAA Champion)
Eric Larkin (NCAA Champion)
Aaron Holker (NCAA Champion)
Bill Zadick (NCAA Champion)
Zack Esposito (NCAA Champion)
Jared Lawrence (NCAA Champion)

Darn it! Lawrence lost to Zadick (0-2,1-1,1-0) in semis. Bono/Zadick in finals.
Hahn lost (3-0, 2-0) to Cormier in semis.

Henry Cejudo is in the finals at 55KG/121 lbs. Yikes. Lives at USA Wrestling Traing site in CO but is still a high school kid. He beat Luke Eustice in semis.

Another very good wrestler going to Boise State is Adam Hall from Idaho. I remember him at the Fargo dome last summer losing to Cyler Sanderson in the freestyle finals by 1. Hw won both 152 greco and freestyle in Vegas.

Jeremy Miller placed 6th at 215 in Greco.

The Eagan wrestlers did very well...won a lot of matches...and were very close to placing in both styles. Furthermove, they were all very nice kids who gained valuable experience from the tournament. I'm not too familiar with Eagan's program, but the kids they had out there spoke volumes for what Eagan's coaches are doing.
