There isn't information anywhere for tomorrows qualifier in region? All it says on the MNUSA site is: Region 4: Johnson HS, 1349 Arcade St, Saint Paul No times, schedule, cost, etc? Is there greco? |

Stizo, Your club director should have the information you are looking for and should have passed it along to you...club directors are supposed to get this information from Region directors. But the times and weigh-ins and styles are the same every year. Your weigh-ins will be from 7-8:30 with wrestling starting around 10:00. The cost is $10 for the Region Qualifiers. NO, there is not Greco at these tournaments. The Greco state tournament is basically an open tournament. Again, your club director should have this information. |

I understand and appreciate the response, but to me this strikes me as the way you would set up qualifiers if you were trying to keep people out. Marketing and promotion are real keys to growing this sport and I think everyone would agree that MN/USA could do a much better job in those areas. I remember 20 years ago when we had many more freestyle tournaments in this state than folkstyle events. Flyers for freestyle tournaments were plastered everywhere--it was hard to not know about them. Now it seems like the expectation is that potential freestyle wrestlers need to seek out the information. This is not intuitively obvious for everyone, especially those that aren't in the mainstream of Minnesota wrestling. |

Thanks! Our club has pretty much disbanned for the year. The nice weather, baseball, track, and other activities have won over freestyle and greco-roman wrestling. |
