Congradulations to both MN 1 and MN 2 cadet wrestling teams, each taking 3rd place in there pools. I was especially surprised by the nice showing by MN 2 team. I didn't recognise a lot of the names on that list, and then to pull out 3rd with no 98# or 275#, that was great. Only missed 2nd place by loosing to Florida 39-31. A full team here could have put them in 2nd place in the pool. Great job cadets. I'll be watching for these names on the high school teams next year. If anyone knows the schools these cadets attend, please post. Thanks. |

Minnesota 2 ended the day by beating Missouri 2 49 to 20 I believe. In round 6 Florida beat Michigan 42 to 39. Maybe somebody can explain to me how you can beat some team by 19 and lose to another team 57 to 17 and the team you beat by 19 beats the team that simply crushed you. Well I guess thats the world of sports. have a good night. |

The boys are doing well. They have Georgia first thing in the morning. Then things will get tougher. The big guys have really stepped it up. In Greco they all seemed a bit flat, but they have really came together for freestyle as a team. Wish our high school team could see what a real team is all about. I'm proud of them not only for the way they have wrestled, but for the way they show everyone respect down here. The next time you see the boys and coaches give them a high 5.... Say Rutt came down just to support his team and enjoy there company. I wish the boy missing from this team was here having the fun these boys are as it's going to be a memory this 2006 Mn Cadet National Team will remember forever. Mn USA all the way!!!!!!!! |

(Wish our high school team could see what a real team is all about.) Vet: Considering that tough AA team made it to state this year, I think most of them knew what a team was about!! Many other kids would love to be in that position with their own teams! Good Luck to both MN Cadet teams today! |

vet--I do know that some of the bigger guys had a struggle to make weight from what I heard. Could be the reason they were a little flat. Looks like they beat Washington and now have Penn 1. |
