Greetings to everyone...

This summer I will be hosting Team Okinawa's Wrestling Camp here in the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia Area from July 8th - 14th. This is BY FAR one of THE greatest groups of clinicians EVER assembled for a national team camp. I'm going to play a "Willy Wonka" type role and offer 5 FREE spots (Golden Tickets) to Minnesota wrestlers of the Cadet and Junior age groups. Clinicians will include:

-Doug Schwab
University of Iowa graduate, 3x All-American, and NCAA Champion. Real Pro Wrestling's Season One Champion and Outstanding Wrestler. He was also a Gold Medalist at the recent Pan-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

-Zach Roberson
Iowa State University graduate, 3x All-American, and NCAA Champion. He was a 4x Kansas High School State Champion and a 2x Junior National Champion. This year in Vegas he won his first Senior Freestyle National Championship and was also a member of the 2006 Pan-American Championship Team.

-Donny Pritzlaff
University of Wisconsin graduate, 4x All-American, and 2x NCAA Champion. In 1998 Donny was the Junior Freestyle World Champion and is currently an Assistant Coach at Hofstra University in New York. At U.S. Nationals this year Donny defeated World Bronze Medalist Joe Williams in the finals, earning him his first Senior level National Championship and the tournaments Outstanding Wrestler. That was also Williams' first loss to an American in 6 years! Donny will be representing the U.S. at this years World Championships in China and recently took home the Silver Medal at the Pan-American Championships.

-Nik Fekete
Michigan State University All-American and graduate of Virginia Tech. Nik was a Cadet Greco-Roman and Freestyle National Champion, and won Junior Nationals in Freestyle his Senior year. In 2006 he was the Runner-up at the U.S. Senior Nationals losing to Daniel Cormier in the finals. Nik has placed in several International competitions and recently won the Pan-American Championships in Brazil.

-Andy Hrovat
University of Michigan graduate and 3x All-American. Wrestled for the prep powerhouse, St. Edwards High School, winning 2 Ohio State Championships. Andy will be representing the U.S. at this year's World Championships in China and is currently an Assistant Coach at the University of Michigan

This camp will be very beneficial to anyone who attends and is promised to be a great experience on, and off the mat! Following this camp my Okinawa Team will then be traveling up to Minnesota to compete in the Greco-Roman Junior National Training Camp.

This camp is going to be FREE of charge to those applicants that are selected. Housing will ALSO be provided with one of the local "Host Families". All that would be needed is some spending money and a round-trip ticket to one of the TWO Washington D.C. airports (Washington Dulles (IAD), or Reagan (DCA)). Not only will this camp be a great opportunity to learn from some of the CURRENT American freestyle GREATS, but we will also have a tour on one of the days to visit the monuments in Washington D.C. Who said wrestling isn't EDUCATIONAL?!

As much as I would like to open this camp for wrestlers of all ages and levels, I am limiting it to Cadet and Junior aged wrestlers that will be attending the Minnesota Storm Training Camp prior to heading up to Fargo. If you are interested in attending I would like for you to write a short "BIO" on yourself and list your accomplishments. Please send all questions and Bio's to me at:

jake84kg@yahoo.com

I would like to receive ALL applications in the very near future...

The sport of wrestling has given so much to me. Now that I have the opportunity to give back, I hope some of you will jump at this chance!

I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Jake Clark

I have just added ANOTHER name to the list of clinicians. My camp will ALSO include 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist Jamill Kelly. I have received several emails already and I look forward to reading more. I will probablly make my selection in about one week. I will also be up in Minnesota and hopefully be able to catch one of the "state practices" while there... it'd probablly boost your chances if I see you up there! Take care to all.

I just wanted to thank all the wrestlers that sent me a bio in hopes of being selected for the Team Okinawa Wrestling Camp. There were far more than I had even expected, and wish I could accomidate everyone! At first I was hoping to bring 5 MN wrestlers out for the camp, but have now decided to boost that number to 8. The wrestlers that were selected are:

Jake Deitchler
Trey Bertram
Brian Litch
Mike Thorn
Nate Willaert
Destin McCaulley
Pat Levasseur
Dylan Ness

I'm excited to bring these guys out and believe it is a great group of representatives for Minnesota! This camp will be a great experience and thanks to all those who wrote in.

Respectfully,

Jake Clark

Geeze... I'm beginning to get nervous! Thankfully they are all staying with other families while they are out there!!!

McCaulley and Ness are schoolboys... correct. However I believe it will be very beneficial for them and decided to have them join the camp. I was also planning on having 5 kids come out my way... now I'm a few over that. Ooooops! ha ha. Again, thankfully the wrestlers are staying with other families!

Greetings again...

I know this is a little late, but we still have a few spots available for kids to join this camp. I do NOT have anymore places for the kids to stay, but there are SEVERAL hotels in the area if a parent was interested in being around. I wish I had more families willing to house the kids, but we're booked in that area. The cost of the camp would be $150 plus room and board (varies depending on which hotel you'd stay at). If you were interested in doing this, you could request the "military discount" at any hotel and I'll help you check in so you can use my I.D. The camp starts on the 8th, but if you're not able to make it until a few days later... that'd be no problem. I understand this is a LAST MINUTE thing, but maybe someone is still interested. Please contact me at:

jake84kg@yahoo.com

If there are ANY questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Respectfully,

Jake Clark
