Zilverberg did not make weight at 119 for duals so he is wrestling 125. Zilverberg was not a freestyle state champion this year. Zach Sanders won freestyle state at 119 Brian Lich was 2nd and Zilverberg was 3rd. |

Every dual starts with MN losing 0-5 after the forfeit at 98. MN won 6 of 15 against OH and 5 of 15 against NJ. The team has some holes. They have some wrestlers that haven't been top freestyle wrestlers over the years. |

I think if you take every summer due so far starting with school boys Minnesota has done very well. Im surprised how well Minnesotas second team has done. The only thing that apperars to be different is we dont have the one dominant team in Greco like we usually do any thourgts. |

The Junior freesylers are wrestling well. With NJ and Ohio in our bracket, you prety much knew we needed to beat Oho to advance. In both the Ohio and NJ matches, our top wrestlers had great match-ups. Zach Sanders, Mike Thorn, JakeDeitchler, Joe Nord, Jordan Kolbow all had 2 studs each in those matches. Zach went 2-0, winning his Ohio match with one of those " I want to win this one more than you" takedowns at the buzzer. Mike, Jake and Joe went 1-1 each and Jordan went 0-1, sufering a "mild concussion" in his Ohio match. I thought he wrestled great thoug |

Jordan is out for the day. If Minnesota is still going tomorrow, he hopes to be cleared to wrestle. Minnesota finished 2-3 in our pool. We lost to Connecticut in the last round. Score was 34 to 34, but one of our kids lost his temper and had a team point deducted, which was first criterea. We also wrestled quite a few alternates, but I think Connecticut was a little tougher than the coaches thought too. Consolation starts at 7:00 tonight. |

Minnesota beat Michigan in the first round of Consolation last night. we have Indiana at 10:00 this morning. Need to win or the team is out. I think we are probaby favored, but not having a 98 is tough and Jordn Kolbow at 160 being out really hurt yesterday. Hopefully Jordan gets clearance to wrestle today. |

Minnesota wrestled very well on Sunday. The trainers would not let Jordan Kolbow wrestle, so that forced our 145 and 152 pounders up all day to cover 160. The Texas match was very close. Joe Grygelko scored a three point move right off the bat to start the 152 pound match, but he tore a calf muscle as he was driving on the move and couldn't continue. We also forfeited 98 as we did all weekend. Ended up losing by 4. |

A 98lber and a healthy Jordan Kolbow would have probably made a big difference. Being in the pool with the eventual 2nd and 3rd place teams didn't help either. Booster, any update on Joe Grygelko? |

Grygelko is an animal as well, it would have helped if he wouldn't have gotten hurt also. Hope he is getting better, I'm looking forward to seeing him on the mat this winter. |
