All the participants are loaded on track wrestling for all styles in Fargo!

If you click on groups and then cadets or juniors they separate them out into the weight class with draw numbers.

I saw the participants. Where do you see the draw numbers? What is that Level thing indicating?

I wouldn't pay much attention to any of that yet. The only thing that tells you is who might be wrestling. For example, 160 FS has about 15 MN kids listed but we'll only have Torrey Line plus 4 more that can actually wrestle at that weight.

Any possible wrestler a state MAY have competing is going to be listed there. There will also be a lot of them that end up wrestling at different weights than are initially listed.

I see alot of kids that I thought were wrestling not on there. Where do they get their information and why would they do that if that is not even close to what is going to happen? Just curious.

No David Craig for Florida. What a shame.

Willaert, I know you said that everyone on this list isn't going, and I know that. But does it work opposite as well, are there guys that may be going that AREN'T on the lists?

Yes.

To be honest I'm not sure why trackwrestling even posted those lists. For Junior Greco and Freestyle I had to submit a preliminary roster earlier this week already. For Junior Greco I don't have to submit my final roster until Saturday afternoon. For Junior Freestyle I don't have to submit my final roster until Wednesday afternoon.

Some states (especially those with smaller numbers) run things differently than we do. They probably knew exactly which kids were going to be on their team because they are so far under the roster limits. But for states such as MN, OH, NJ, PA, CA and OK who typically bring rather large contingents the lists that were initially sent in could be very different from what is actually at Fargo on those final rosters.

Our MN Greco rosters are very close to being accurate although I do know of about 4-5 kids that are listed at different weights than what they will be competing at and there are 1 or 2 kids that don't even show up on that initial roster.

The Freestyle rosters...at least for Juniors it doesn't mean much yet. If you want to know who from MN is actually competing in Junior FS you'll have to wait until the final roster is turned in and updated on trackwrestling.com. I will have the final roster probably in my hands by Monday night though and if I have time I will try to post it prior to trackwrestling having it. Although I can say that posting the roster on this forum is going to be a low priority with all the other stuff I have to actually do up there. If I have time I'll do it though.

Looking at the wrestlers for junior freestyle and the weights they plan on wrestling at on the MN/USA web-site there could be some pretty good wrestlers staying home.

145 to 160 have alot of kids. Would like to see some of those wrestle offs. Looks like a minny state tournament.

Sorry, I do not have the list of Cadet wrestlers. I am the Junior Director and Jim Moulsoff is the Cadet director. Final Cadet Greco rosters are due this afternoon though...trackwrestling should be updated later tonight with the final roster that Jim turned in. Mine is due tomorrow however I'm 99% certain that what I listed above is my final roster.

Freestyle camp check-in was yesterday. The list on the MN/USA website is not the final list and there have been many changes in weights for wrestlers. 62 Junior Freestyle wrestlers in camp...which we believe is the most ever at the camp for Junior Freestyle. Some very thick weight classes and a lot of talent. The clinician for this morning's practice was Luke Becker...if I recall correctly he was a pretty good wrestler himself. :P

If time permits I'm hoping to randomly post stuff on here for those of you that are not up here but are interested in what's going on.
I also know that the Beshey's will be up here and they will keep things updated as well and I'm sure they'll have links to all the official tournament website stuff.

Well, I'm now heading over to the Bison Sports Arena to pick up the cards we need so the team can go through the credentialing process and get their photo id's and all that fun stuff. The Cadet Greco team is on a couple of mats over there right now getting in their final workout...I'll probably have to stop by and see how they're doing as well.

Just got back to the hotel. Did the team registration stuff, picked up credential cards and did some other paper-work crap. Spent some time with the Cadet Greco team as they went through their last team workout. The guys looked great...even those that are still 3-4lbs over weight. The Cadets weigh-in tomorrow morning at 8:00 so they'll be over at the arena probably around 6:45 or so...gives them time to do their last weight checks and get rid of that last 2/10ths of a pound or so for a few of them. The weigh-in process at these tournaments is one I wish every tournament could emulate. It's like a giant cattle herding process. From the beginning to the end they will put about 800 kids through skin-checks and weigh-ins in about 15-20 minutes. Lots of scales and lots of medical people there that know the difference between ring-worm and a mat-burn.

Cadets start wrestling tomorrow sometime around 10:00 I think. I don't know the exact number of Cadet Greco wrestlers but I'm guessing it's around 40 or so. 40 MN wrestlers spread out on 22 mats...going to be a lot of running in those early rounds.

Lots of former MN HS wrestlers running around up here as well working the tournament. Ran into Mike Quamme and reminded him of just how ugly he is.

Also ran into Travis Shives who is one of the National Events Directors for USA Wrestling. For those of you that don't know Travis, he is a former MN boy...blanking on which HS at the moment...Kennedy maybe? Then wrestled for MSU-Mankato. He's now working for USA Wrestling and living out in Colorado Springs. Great gig.

Time to go grab some dinner and a soda. Only in Fargo will coaches go hang out with the enemy...probably have those soda's with the Pennsylvania coaches.

is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me ?
I wanted to check and see how the Mn Cadets are doing, but when Track Wrestling shows the bracket, there's this Asics thingey overtop of some of the names, so you can't see the results- what gives ?

That site really does have a terrible layout and it's kind of confusing. There should be an easier way to get information....because that site really is haggard. I can figure it out, but it's just a pain to deal with and could be much easier.

DQM stands for disqualified from match. The DQM is circled witch means he is done for the tournament. OUCH. Anyone know what he did?
