We might as well try to get a post started about old-timer tournaments. I am involved with organizing the one in Detroit Lakes - March 10th. I know Owatanna and Elk River has them, and I believe that Braham might still have one. There usually are a few in North Dakota that I hear about, and finally, I know of one in Rockford, Illinois if anyone really wants to travel. Anyway, if you have questions or comments about old-timers tournaments, try posting them here, and I will try to answer whatever I can. Also, whenever I find out about the North Dakota tourneys, I will post the contact information. |

For anyone interested, the Northwest Old-Timers Tournament will be held this coming Saturday - March 10th in Detroit Lakes. Information is available under the Open Tournament Calendar. You can also read about the past 7 tournaments by looking under the Youth/Opens page of this website. If you need any additional information, try contacting me (my information is on the flyer which can be found on the Calendar) or post your question here. |

I just want to extend a big thank you to the organizers of the Detroit Lakes Old Timer's Tournament. We spent a weekend in DL, wrestling at several youth tournaments, including the state qualifier. Later that afternoon, we convinced some of the guys to wrestle in the OT tournament. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see it again next year. Thanks for a really fun weekend! |
