I have 3 questions: If you weigh in for Greco do you still need to weigh in for freestyle?
Are they accepting registrations at the door? Lastly, who is the parade of champions for?

Also, I was wondering: What does the state tournament qualify your for? What do you have to place?

If you weigh in for greco on friday you do not have to weigh in for freestyle so long as you finish the greco competition. They prefer that you would pre-register for the state tournaments but I do not think they would turn you away if you wanted to enter the morning of the tournament. The parade of champions is for all of the state competitors that show up and put it on the line against some of the best age-level kids in the state.

Keep in mind that you have to qualify for freestyle state but Greco is an open tournament.

If you compete in the state tournament you are qualified for Northern Plains regional nationals. You do not have to place in either style to qualify for Northern Plains, you simply have to come and wrestle.

Hope this helps, good luck, and hopefully we'll see you this weekend.

Thanks Ethanhunt. One more question: Is the parade of champions for Greco AND Freestyle competitors? And are you required to attend? I'm wondering due to hotel consideration.

No you do not have to attend the parade of champions.

I also think you had to preregister, you cannot walk up.

In the past you had to place top 6 to qualify...Is this not the case anymore?
Anyone who participates can go to Northern Plains?

So what do you have to do to go to Cadet Duals? Also, I heard that you could to to regionals with the MN team? How does that work?

To be guarenteed a spot on the dual team you have to be a cadet state champion. If you needed a ride and stay to the Northern Plains you could talk to the cadet coaches at state and something could probably be worked out.

To be guarenteed a spot for camp/fargo you need to place in the top 3 at Northern Plains in each particular style.
