I understand that if there is a 3 way tie for first in the RR, the kid with the most points wins the bracket...
However, what if this is a virtual deadlock? (See Cadet 98 GR)
Can someone tell me the exact criteria in determining the winners?

The way I read it is;

1. Most classification points
2. Most victories
3. Most Falls
4. Most wins by Superior decision
5. Most periods won by superior decision
6. Most technical points for the competition
7. Least amount of technical points given up during competition
8. Least time of the fall/s (combined)
9. Least time of tech fall (combined)
And if that doesn't do it,
"Who weighs the least after competition"

This is what I take from the USA Rule book.

Do they ONLY go by points earned in the RR?
Or does it ever go back to the entire bracket?

Also, has it ever come down to weighing the kids?

I guess I like that better than the coin flip! Or at a girls hockey tourney I was at and they actually had listed in the brochure, as the 4th tie breaker..."rock-paper-scissors"...no joke!

looking at the bracket you mentioned, I would say that since all three wrestlers ended up with 4 clasification points from the RR; that YES; they went back to the beginning- if you have tie in the RR, thwen you go back to the beginning and add up all class. pts from there-Mike from Itasca had a total of 11; he took first-
Nathan from KW had 10; he took 2nd-
Nick from Central had 7, so he took 3rd-
sometimes it's still a tie between two of them, so then you look at head-to-head between the two to decide.....

So gettting a BYE in FS and GR can really come back to haunt you...

Bottom line, whoever has more matches has the potential of having more points.

I guess the moral of the story is, win every match! Then no issues!

Tiny Tornado got it right. Same thing happened at the Forest Lake tourney, they went back to the beginning. Byes will hurt you if it comes down to a "tie".

Byes can also help you later in the bracket by allowing you to advance another round while others are eliminated. Bottom line is sometimes they help you and sometimes they hurt you, but it usually evens out in the end if you wrestle enough freestyle and greco.
