Could you please expand on that? What I see is that they had a roster of around 33 give or take. 15 were seniors and 8 of them wrestled in individual sections. Thats a huge hit to recover from. I don't see it. |

This year will be a bit of a rebuilding year for Watertown Mayer Lutheran. They do have a core group of some very solid young wrestlers, with 4 returning wrestlers who are members on this year National Duals teams. Elesenpeter-8 Fleming-11 Standick-10 Matuska-9 White-10 Poikonen-11 T. Neaton-10 Rosdahl-12 (out most of last year due to surgury) S. Neaton-12 Abernathy-12 But they do have some holes to fill, so give them another year to tighten them up and they should have a pretty tough team in 2009-2010. I think Delano is going to do some damage this year, along with Scott West. |

They do have a solid line up. I believe they only lost the big guy Socher. Having said that will be returning around 9 Seniors and 9 Juniors not to forget an additional 6 or more Sophmores. The only sent two to St. Paul last year. Will they be able to sharpen any others up this year. I will hold off on Scott west for now. |

Last year, during the team section tournament, I thought Delano was the 4th best team there, behind Scott West, Watertown and MLLC. They are not losing a lot this year (besides the big guy) and have a very solid core of eight wrestlers returning: Seck-12th Sowers-11th, 5th last year (very tough 119 bracket), was injured for 1/3 of season Roth-12th Hessing-11th, 2nd in sections, state particapant Brasket-12th, 3rd in sections Brasket-11th, 6th in sections Bohler-12th, 3rd in sections Dahl-12th, IDF in sections They also finished second in the Wright County Conf. with a 7-1 record, 15-8 overall. |

How about Hutch. or any of the southern teams? MLLC ,St. Peter ,New Ulm do any of them have any chance. I think Delano will be very strong also I wouldn't count W/ML out. But I don't know who beats SW. |

With a few state champs graduating and a lot of other good wrestlers gone - there is a opportunity for many newbies to get their first shot at state. How many people did Scott West Graduate - I am assuming that Goldberg is going to stick around - unless the family moves - 3 schools in 3 years. He would lose his eligibility if he transferred again. Guessing the lower weights will be a bunch of new kids, can't see Goldberg & flemming making 103 again, and Fredrich and (watertown kid - forgot his name) will never make 112 again. 119 Levesuer is gone, wow - lot's of new young opportunities. |

How will New Prague be next year? I see they have a match with Delano in January. I saw they were looking for another team for a quad. Did they find one? |

Whats up with MLLC will they have a good team could it be the same 4 teams on top again this year but a different order SW Delano MLLC Watertown maybe put Hutch in there and will Goldberg go back to AV now that it looks like Devos is going to home (Iowa) The Great Gamma Watertown did lose 8 guys that wrestled last years team sec. only two came threw for the team in the finals so did they lose anyone who was all that important? I think just 2 they will still have to step it up big time to contend in the sec but the loses might not be that bad |

Ethan Smith will fit in at 140 and 135 from Hutch he was injured all last season and is about 5 wins from 100 wins. Look for him to make some noise next year with him on the squad Hutch will be a top 2 team next year. |

Scott West has Goldgerg and Kivel for stars. After that they have .500 to .600 wrestlers at best. Anyone have in site on S.W.? |

Thanks for your well thought out and informative post. It put a new light on the subject and we all thank you for that. As far as my source of info on S.W., no insight, just looked at individual record in MSHSL. So, you have anymore light you want to shed on the subject goTigersgo? |

I think that SW lost less than others in the section, and would be the pick to go to state, and I'm sorry for crackin' wise. |

Hutchinson should be competitive again: 103- Chris Retterath 112- Nick Clobes 29-13 119- Lucas Ferrian 13-23 125- Bobby Rasmussen 9-12 130- Jackson Hallahan 13-13 135- Ethan Smith 140- Ryan Madson 145- Jordan Hanson 23-15 152- Cody Manderscheid 30-7 160- Mike Schlueter 9-17 171- Kyle White 12-22 189- Mason Anderson 11-20 215- Dylan Robinson 285- Wes Corrigen 1-19 most of the upper weight were 9-10th graders last year so I think we'll see better results out of them this year. Clobes,Smith, Madson, Handson, and Manderscheid should all be in the mix for the top 2 @ their weights depending on what weights they end up at. I don't see them winning the section but they should be competitive. |

Most of those kid's records makes them look worse than they actually are. Thats from wrestling tough competition. Where as MLLC's records make them look better than what they actually are. |
