Big Poppa 11,

You were wrong.!!!!! NP did not lose by 20 points. They lost by 34 points !!! What do you have to say for yourself.

Old One – Why the animosity? Did somebody from New Prague pin you in a prior life or something? You are no better at projections as noted by your comment last January regarding New Prague’s chances at going to State is that “chances are it just won't happen”.

Cattle Catcher,

You need to recognize a tongue in cheek compliment I was making to Big Poppa 11.

Agree, Griffin was a beast and deserving of the OW and Scott West placed 7 wrestlers with a solid team finish, including some exciting moments in the 160 final. Merry Xmas and Happy holidays to everyone.

Some good things and bad things for both SW and NP at the Christmas tournament. New Prague had a champion and the OW, but only two placers and a 16th place finish. Scott West had seven place winners and a 6th place finish, but they lost every placing match and did not field a full team.

Congrats at the Rumble SW. 3 for 3 in championship matches and a 3rd place finish. You did 2AA proud.

Looks like SW represented 2 AA very well at Rumble on the Red with a 3rd place team finish and 3 Champs in Flynn, Siegle, Fogery. With Schultz placing 7th! At this point in the season, they look like they may be the team to beat in 2AA

2AA will be tough this year at state. Besides the three aforementioned champions from SW, Tucker Sjomeling from Delano also placed first at 106 at the Rumble. You add in Parriott and you have five very strong contenders for State Champions and quite a few others who will also be in the mix. Hutchinson has a number of very strong contenders.

New Prague is getting pounded by Bergen Catholic at the Clash. They are ranked pretty high in the country. Griffen lost... Not sure if the kid he wrestled was ranked high or not.

New Prague and Scott West - Thursday night in New Prague 7:00 "under the light". Hoping New Prague can get a few of the wrestlers off the sick/injury list :) - if so, this could be a heck of a dual!!

I saw Knutson didn't wrestle at the clash for New Prague. Is he injured?

Thursday night should help clear up some of the Section information for 2AA. Predictions on SW VS NP?

My understanding was Nick had the flu. NP has 3 others that are right on the edge of returning, will have to wait and see if Thursday night delivers the full line up. Had 4 kids step in and really wrestle well at the Clash - a couple of them with very little varsity experience - and to get thrown in at the Clash - was really baptism by fire!!

I think the only one qualified to predict NP vs SW on Thursday night would be Big Poppa, just have to wait & see if he enters the conversation.

Any update on Preston for the rest of the season ?

I am the only one qualified...that's for damn sure.

106- Stauffacher dec. Reyant 3-0
113- Kelvington dec. Oneill 6-0
120- Siegle dec. Montanye 9-0
126- Flynn fall. Rutt 15-0
132- Parriot fall. Backlund 15-6
138- Berg fall. Abraham 15-12
145- Siegle fall. Kvam 21-12
152- Heinz fall. Storlie 21-18
160- Fogarty fall. Reinartz 27-18
170- Schmitz forf. 27-24
182- Dahlke fall. Giles 33-24
195- Woolhouse forf. 33-30
220- Schultz dec. Gullickson 36-30
285- Lafavor fall. Kochlin 36-36

There, I ended it in a tie. It won't end like that. Both teams haven't been 100% lately so there will be some lineup shifts. 106,112 and 120 will be big matches. Could be a close dual.

Real quiet from both sides? Tricks up sleeves - or cautiously concerned. Either way - hope it is a great dual. Hard to beat the excitement of last years dual - down to final match!
