I drive to this Duel thinking it would be a great match up between Scott West and New Prague. I was wrong. Scott West won. Was very disappointed at the way Scott West wrestled. Stalling and Stalling. From the 106 pounder to the 138 pounder. Maybe that is the way they wrestle. but WOW. The 138 pounder even got DQ'ed due to Stalling. In my opinion, Not what I would call a great program if you teach your wrestlers to stall. Or is that how you teach your wrestlers to win? On the New Prague, side, Seen to many pins given up and they could not get out from the bottom or hold anyone down. The upper weights looked average, except the 265 pounder, Did a number on the Scott West wrestler. The gym was packed but crowd was not into it.

Scott West had 7 seniors and New Prague had 2 seniors. Future looks good for New Prague.

Does Scott West or New Prague wrestle Hutchinson before the Sections? nothing in the events calendar.

The Sheriff's department was there also, Had to stay in my corner, if you get my story.... :) no details on that will be given out.

#1 Seed will come down to the winner of Hutch and Scott West. With full line up for New Prague @ Sections - this is going to be a barn burner. Scott West can shuffle the cards they have - but appears that they used their entire line up last night. Not exciting at all - thought the ref was very consistent on stalling - though do not see how he called Griffin Parriott for stalling - when you are scoring 17 points? :) Think the dual between Hutch and Scott West is going to be good - Scott west is going to need a big lead after 160 - to hold them off.

A kid who pinned there 120 multiple times, and a 4th placer in state. I'd say that is missing some valuable kids from their lineup..?

Quit it with Preston, he is not wrestling this year or ever again really. He is a D1 football recruit. His future is on the grid iron, not the mat. He's really going to risk a scholarship, to wrestle two weeks his senior year????

And, NO Trojan dads making excuses?? How many quotes would you like me to dig up???

WOW - you know so much about the New Prague program, why you even asking who is gone - you should have been telling us who was out. Have to wait and see ;) , plus does not appear he is going to get hurt real bad wrestling against the 220 from Scott West? Plus no comment on the 120# kid missing............

And please do dig up the excuses you have seen from NP fans on this LAST dual (since you are referrencing more excuses this time). Seems like you got a little anger still in your voice from last year.

What happened did you or your kid lose to a New Prague kid?

I'm a NP dad, we put out our kids and SW put out there wrestlers and they beat us by 13 lets get ready for round 2 B) . When do SW and hutch wrestle.

I also traveled to watch this dual but, with all due respect to NP, must have been watching from the opposite rail. In SW's defense, it looked like SW "Scored" the only points at 106, 113, 120 and 126. Going into 132 and 138, I assume the SW coaches sent those guys out with the intent to hold off bonus points, which lets face it, Parriot to a major, Bergs to a major, later changed to a DQ. Stalling or not, goal achieved for SW. 145 SW all offense, 152 SW sends out a JV kid to wrestle reinertz, obviously due to a line up shift from previous competition. 160, 182, 195, 220, SW scored all the points, and HWT is throw or be thrown. Looked to me like SW did what they had to do and stayed in control of the entire dual. What would you expect, they've been a top tier team for years. Good coaching, smart wrestling solid win for SW. My question to Just pin, and Jared, other than at 132 and 138 where guys were clearly outmatched, what did NP due to earn all the stall calls, given the individual match results? Also, the final was 41-28. That's a good bit of match points for what you call a stalling team. Good Dual in my opinion. Now the bigger question, can either of these teams beat Hutch?

I guess when I said Scott west wrestled different then they did in the past was I was referring to the Valek, Zilverberg, Hentges, Dvorak, kroells type of wrestling. When it looked like the one team is getting the takedown and Scott west gets it some magical way, the type of wrestling that Scott west use to man handle there opponent, that Siegel, fogerty, Flynn are capable of doing to 99% of the wrestlers at there weight. Just a different style, there leechy wrestling has been part of them for years.

They still have that style. You will just see less of it because there are a little more holes than in years past. Jared, don't you know where that style comes from?
