#1 Seed will come down to the winner of Hutch and Scott West. With full line up for New Prague @ Sections - this is going to be a barn burner. Scott West can shuffle the cards they have - but appears that they used their entire line up last night. Not exciting at all - thought the ref was very consistent on stalling - though do not see how he called Griffin Parriott for stalling - when you are scoring 17 points? :) Think the dual between Hutch and Scott West is going to be good - Scott west is going to need a big lead after 160 - to hold them off.
Knutson was back, who else are you guys missing that matter??

Always an excuse!
A kid who pinned there 120 multiple times, and a 4th placer in state. I'd say that is missing some valuable kids from their lineup..?
Quit it with Preston, he is not wrestling this year or ever again really. He is a D1 football recruit. His future is on the grid iron, not the mat. He's really going to risk a scholarship, to wrestle two weeks his senior year????

And, NO Trojan dads making excuses?? How many quotes would you like me to dig up???
Preston has no scholarships therefore nothing to lose..... ;)

Both Hutch and GSL wrestle Mound-Westonka and Waconia but they do not wrestle each other on Thursday Jan. 16th (it is a double dual). Hutch and GSL will wrestle in Hutch on Thursday Jan 23. This will be a strait dual meet

thanks, goTigersgo.

any individual scores?
I am not sure of individual scores, but I do know that SW won 9 matches to Hutch's 5.

I believe Hutch won 120, 170, 195, 220, HWT

SW: won the remaining 9 weights

It will be interesting to see how that match shakes up the State Rankings. Is SW better than people expected, or were NP and Hutch over-rated? Beating both of them by a descent margin within a 2 week period is impressive.

I wish all 2AA wrestlers the best of luck the rest of the season, and look forward to having them represent the section strongly at State!

It was a great dual. I do believe Hutch and NP are missing were missing a few starters when they wrestled Scott West, not saying that it would have made a difference in the outcome, but it could have made things a little more interesting.

Not sure what Hutch was doing bumping Schmidt up against Fogerty. Also I'm not really sure why Hutch bumped up all there lighter weights? Karl might of made a difference, but maybe not since Flynn, and Siegel were right there. Also I think Carter vs. Jordahl could be a better match next time. Also the Jordahl vs. Dahlke match could go either way but I'm pretty sure Scott West would put Dahlke on Fraser next time for almost a sure win.

Drew will be back if they meet again and I think that will make a difference on the bottom end matchups. If SW gets the pick to move Dahlke against Fraser it will just be a wash vs whomever they put against Jordahl. It will all come down to the bottom weights and making up the points just like all of Hutch's match's. If they score some points in the first 7 weights they are pretty tough to beat.

How does Hutch match up against New Prague?
It should be a good one, but I would give a slight edge to Hutch. Hutch will get big points up top from 170-285. NP would need a huge lead going into the upper weights.

The question it, how is SW going to set their line-up. The way the set it against NP was a lot different than the line-up they had against Hutch (same wrestlers, just weighing in/wrestling at different weights).
