We were on the second page.... Unacceptable. Team seeding look to be fairly set the 4 spot could be a bit difficult. Any one know what the seedings are based on. I know Waconia beat GSl head to head but has lost to at least 3 teams that GSL has beat. GSL also had starters missing for the Waconia match not sure if they take that into consideration. I believe Watertown and Waconia still wreslte and GSL still has NP. Did/do NP and Hutch wrestle? 1. SW 2. Hutch 3. NP 4. GSL/Waconia/Watertown? |

I think if Waconia beats Watertown, then Waconia and GSL are 4/5 or 5/4, which means they wrestle anyway, most likely. |

New Prague and Hutch do not wrestle and they have not met in any tournaments. There will be a lot of unknowns during that match especially if everybody is healthy. I do not think that New Prague has yet to have all thier starters available at the same time and I understand that Huch has also had some injuries. |

I listed top 4 contenders IMO Im sure weights may change i just went of the results available. 106: Sjomleling(DEL) Reyant(NP) Stauffacher(SW) Gillette(SP)- Deep weight several others could crack top 4 Sjomleling should dominate to first. 113:Jewett(GSL) Punksack(Hutch) Kelvington(SW) O'Neil(NP)- Jewett domintates with the others battling it out for second 120:J. Sweeney(WM/ML) Dundas(MW) Schultz(WAC) Wadsworth(Hutch)- Sweeney should be the favorite. I could see someone drop from 126 to get in here if possible. 126 Flynn(SW) Drew(Hutch) Knutson(NP) Donnay(GSL) - Flynn rolls to the X can someone here drop to 120? I have also haerd rumor that Parriott is here which would definatly change some things. 132: Parriott(NP) Kosteleckey(Hutch) Thompson(SP) Buesgeus - If Griffen is here its his otherwise its wide open. 138: Siegle(SW) Berg(NP) Richter(GSL) Pundsack(Hutch) - Top 2 look prettie much set barring a big upset 145: Steinbauer(Wac) Brownlee(TCU) Sweeney(WM/ML) Donnay/Tesch(GSL) - Tough weight to even crack top 4. 152:Schmidt(Hutch) Reinartz(NP) Hemze(Wac) Tesch/Donnay(GSL) - Schmidt looks like the favorite 160: Fogarty(SW) Green(Wac) Heinz(NP) Vouk(WM/ML) - Fogarty dominates could be more interesting if Selly is here 170: Dahlke(SW) Bosacker(SP) Selly(TCU) Fraser(Hutch) - I am thinking Selly is at 160 but havent seen him there for sure yet. 182: G. Pantherfan - Very nice list! I think you are right on target.Thanks for getting the ball rolling. It is my understanding that Stauffacher is out with an injury. If that is the case it would be a tough loss for SW, especially during the team meets. I do not think Preston will be back. He did not wrestle last Thursday at a big Missota Conference meet which would have been a good warm up. With regard to Parriott, I see no reason why he would go down a weight class even if he is certified at 126. 138 will be a real battle between Siegle and Berg for the top spot. I suspect those two may have a rematch later at the Xcel. Mason Rutt from Tri-City may also be part of the mix at 160. |

Thanks for the Parriott info didnt think he could get down that low but wasnt sure after hearing the announcers on the stream. I did complely forget about Chaska sorry about that. :$ I dont really know much about the Chaska team have they wrestled any 2aa opponents? I also agree with the eariler post on Rutt from TCU shouldnt have missed that one :-/ |

.....and Alex Burns(TCU) 3rd, Kevin Knisel(Delano) 2nd, Jake Russell(MW) is solid too. Lafavor pinned Vanderheiden in 2013 section ind. tournament. |

I had Knisel at 220 but i agree all that you listed will contend. The problem with having such a deep section is its hard to make sure everyone who will contend get mentioned. I know there are plenty of really good wresters i left off my list. Maybe someone could try doing a list of top 2. Its not easy for most weights but thats what makes this section so fun to watch. Im guessing the team portion could answer some of the individual questions too. |

170 Rutt....this is the same kid that started the year at 152, correct? I know he's a talented kid for his age, but going up 2 weight classes and 15-20 pounds and still making state. I'm not sure how many kids can do that, except for the elite kids. |

Wittman went 0 and 2 at the Rumble, Shultz placed 6? and Kneisl placed 3rd. I would make 220 1 Filk, 2 Clouse, 3 Kneisl, 4 Shultz, 5 Wittman. My guess is any of these guys could bump up and be the favorite at 285. |

I am not sure who Cattle Catcher is but I think that the time that was spent writing this could have been used by him reading his most resent Trojan Grappler newsletter that just came in his mailbox. I think it is a little to heavily populated by NP kids |

In the end, regardless of seeding the kids will settle it on the mat. How about adding to the dialogue of the depth of talent in 2AA with your opinion rather than cast criticism from the sidelines? Cattle Catcher, To be quite honest there are so many of these weights that are so deep that it would be a complete guess as to how they will turn out (you just put a little NP twist on it). I do give you credit for taking a stab at it. I think the Section tournament will be an electric atmosphere where some kids will rise and shine and others will be given a chance to prove themselves on a big stage. Regardless of how it ends up Section 2AA will be well represented at the X |

Yeah, its really hard to figure out who are the NP dads on here!! EIGHT Trojans, before you make a list, you might want to look at the other teams in the section, just a thought. |
