I enjoyed the sportsmanship and from the looks of it friendship between Filk and Clouse. They both when all out still showed a ton of respect for each other.

I know this cause I was the other athletic trainer that was working but did not make the call. I am also a TCU fan and did not want that to happen. As an athletic trainer you have to do what is best for a kids health and safety and a call was made since he was showing concussion symptoms but ended up being cleared. On that note I do not agree with giving the injured opponent the win regardless of how it happened. It is wrestling and things like that will happen. But after the incident the way that GSL wrestler and coaching staff acted I was happy to see him not make it to state and I feel terrible for brownlee cause a kid of his caliber should not be staying home

I was standing there and heard everything and I thought the kid was able to finish the match. And then get checked but that isn't how athletic trainers work. We are supposed to throw out scores, seeds, etc. I agree it was not a slam because the GSL kid put himself in that position. I do not out blame on my fellow Co - worker as he was just doing his job I put more of the blame on the ref and the rules.

Still being a former wrestler of this section and still follow it I do not want to watch a kid to ever have to go through a situation like that.

Wrestling Fan Posts: 30 Group: Die Hard Member #4,907 Joined: February 5, 2006	I am confused as to why people blame the GSL wrestler and the coaches from GSL regarding the 145 semi-final match that appears to be the hot topic? The decision to not allow the match to continue was made by the trainer. If you witnessed the match, it appeared Donnay did not want to go and have his hand raised. I am also confused about the comment from the Scott West PANTHERSpride comment that says it wasn't the first time donnay has done this. I am not aware of Donnay winning any matches by injury default this year or in recent years. Maybe you could enlighten us on that. I do believe there have been matches he lost by injury default over the last couple years. In fact, Donnay missed several events this year due to concussion issues. I am also wondering why Mason didn't wrestle in the dual meets for sections? Was he sick, hurt, or something else??????
