Who's responsibility is it to report dual scores?? I believe someone told me it's the HOME head coach, is that true? It's really annoying when two scores are reported in a tri.

If you are looking for the NP vs LCWM score, it was NP 37 LCWM 27

I am not sure who has the "responsibility" to report a dual score. However, according to MN/USA (who broadcasted the duals) the HOME head coach was not even present. He was literally HOME with an illness. So, if it is his responsibility, maybe he will post it when he is feeling better.

Yes, today it was NP tri(thank you). But, there are a couple EVERY week, where there is one score missing in a tri on the results page.

I wasn't try to throw Coach T under the bus, I was really just asking the question.

Maybe one of the ten assistant coaches could step up in Coach's absence. ;)
Speaking of coaches, where has "blood man" Frankie been?

Then my guess would be it is the coach of the team that has both their results posted doing the leg work ;) So, in this case it is not only NP that didn't report them, but the Sabers as well.

Until the MSHSL mandates it, I see this being the case forever. There is still some value in not giving the opposing teams an opportunity to find common opponents. Not sure if this is the case here or not. Heck, there are still teams that refuse to put individual records in the team portion of the state tournament program. Oh wait, too early? I guess that will be brought up in a post in about a month :)

Last night there were only 4 coaches on the NP bench, so I guess one of those 4 (not 10) could have done it. That is assuming they know how to.

Is it Thursday or Friday? The Guillotine has it down for Friday at Belle Plaine's old gym.

This being a dual I plan to attend, I checked with a friend and found out the dual was originally set for Friday but moved to Thursday so both schools are able to go watch the gophers on Friday. Also, since Belle Plaine is hosting a basketball game as well, the dual is in the old gym at Belle Plaine High Sichool. Hope there is enough seating. If I recall from the Scott West, Hutch dual last year, there's only a few rows of bleachers.

SCOTT WEST - NEW PRAGUE on KCHK Radio tonight - 1350 AM or 95.5 FM (might need a big antenna if live to far from New Prague) - do not know if streaming online on KCHK - but periodically they do that also.

That's a lot of falls in a dual, could happen though. I have it split 7-7 coming down with who gets more bonus points. New Prague will have to have a full squad to pull this off. I'm thinking Scott West gets risky and sends Flynn out against Berg!

I have to agree with Jared. New Prague did not even give up five falls against Shakopee, Minneota, or STMA and they even had four JV wrestiling against Shakopee and Minneota. Several of the SW win by falls will either be a Tech Fall or Major Decision. Klevington and Logelin will liely be really close and could go either way. ISince the first of the year it seems that between injuries and illness New Prague has not had a full varsity squad out on the mat. If all of New Prague's varsity show up it will be really close and probably not decided until the end. So, don't leave early!

It was a great match! It's to bad Belle Plaine couldn't switch gyms with the basketball game that had no fans at it in the other gym. On a good note everyone fitted in all cozy and it got real loud in there and it brought up the intensity with the spot light!

Nice win for New Prague!

I would like to thank both NP and SW for a great event last night. Between the wrestling on the mat and the fans in that small gym, a fan can't ask for more. That's why I am a fan of 2AA wrestling. Yet again, possibly the toughest and most competitive section in the state. Cant wait for sections. Thanks again.

Kudos to New Prague on the win last night. They did everything they had to do pull off the upset. I don't believe Scott West could have wrestled any worse in my opinion. 160 was the turning point in that match. Going from a possible take down for a 2 pt lead to getting pinned just can't happen in a dual like this.

I wonder who gets the #1 seed going into sections now - NP beats SW, SW beats Hutch and Hutch beats NP. Should be an interesting seeding meeting.

The section team seedings are starting to look a little more clear after last nights match ups. Here's my thoughts on how the section team seedings are going to play out. I believe there's only two section match ups left so correct me if I'm wrong. (Hutch/GSL tonight and New Prague/WM next week)

Team: Section Record: Here's a couple section notable wins:

1) NP (4-1) NP over SW 32-31 and Wac 38-30
2) SW (5-1) SW over Hutch 39-23 and WM 51-17
3/4) Hutch (4-2) Hutch over NP 31-25 and WM 39-21
3/4) Waconia (4-1) Wac over Hutch 39-26 and GSL 66-7
5) W/M (3-2) W/M or Tri-City 53-16 and GSL 53-12
6) Tri-City (2-2) Tri-City over St. Peter 38-21 and MW 37-31
7) GSL (2-3) GSL over St. Peter 37-28 and Delano 34-32
8) St. Peter (2-5) St. Peter over MW 38-28 and ME 46-31
9) MW (1-2) MW over ME 39-33
10) Delano (0-4) None
11) Chaska (0-2) None
12) ME (0-4) None

I have a slight favorite to Hutch over Waconia for 3 and 4 seed because Hutch beat NP just a couple of weeks ago and there loss to Waconia was early in the season, however it could go either way its a coin flip. Waconia may get the 3 seed just because of the head to head match.

Who gets the call on the coin flip? The team that beat the team that beat the team? I'll take a crack at the top 4:

NP should be the 1 by wins over teams with wins over Hutch.

SW is 2 by their section opponent wins and (with no disrespect) a 1 point difference from the 1 seed and many close matches.

I have to think Waconia is 3 by head to head win over Hutch, taking everything else out of the equation.

I see Hutch at 4. Even if they've beaten NP before and wish to use that to contest for the 1 seed, they have their chance at another match with them right here.

Can the seeding meeting be open to the public? OR will it be like the scene from Friday Night Lights when they travel 100 miles to a neutral diner somewhere and flip their lucky coins.

Regardless of seeds, I think Section 2AA will be well represented at state when it is all over.

Does anyone know what time and where team sections are this year on Feb. 14th? What about individual sections the following week? Where are individuals and what time does wresting start that Sat?
