Whatever, what i saw was a undersized 3 pounder for St. Peter who someday will be pretty good. Selly is learning, I know he too is young, but if Haslip is good enough to beat Rutt, why not stick him in there. If he gets six, then even if Rydell loses a dec. you only give up 3 and not 5 or 6. Like i also said, most of St. Peter's middle weights were up a weight, put a lot of pressure on some kids.

Thats the way i would have liked it too play out, but I have been around long enough to know, it wasn't going to. Pretty uneventful in the category, of the studs meeting up, i know the chess game starts later in the year.

Yes most of there middle weights were, but I think MLLC's 140 and 145 pounder were up to they looked a little small, but strong.

Could someone give some details on the New Prague vs Armstrong from yesterday?

New Prague won 53-18 Varsity (3 pin wins, 1 TF win, 3 FF wins, 3 wins by points), New Prague JV won 11 of 15 matches(10 pin wins)

Natalie Rutt 112, vs Edwin Kromah was the best match up of the night, she lost by 2 points, but was only about 1 second off of being given the 2 extra points she needed to tie it up. Very exciting match! Hard fought by both !

Thanks for the 112 report, I wish I was there! Any report for the other 13 matches? (Players and scores?)

Saw the Hutch/Scott West score was missing from the results - it was 40-24 SW with Hutch forfeiting 215 and 285 due to injuries. The Tigers actually led after 140 when Ethan Smith recorded a pin. Kivel beat Madson 8-3 (Kivel recorded a quick takedown and near fall and then it was all square the rest of the way).

One of the SW parents said to me, we're not a team of all-stars, but we're pretty balanced. Dead on. Scott West has a nice squad but I don't think one that really challenges for a state title. I don't see anybody beating them at sections though. Very strong at 112, 125, 130, 152, 160. Didn't see 189 or 215, but I recall them being pretty good wrestlers a year ago.

New Ulm really is down from what I heard. Mankato East is the same.

Right now, I think the top four are Scott West, Delano, New Prague and Hutchinson w/ MLLC a close fifth.

I also saw that Watertown beat up GSL pretty good. The Panthers are forfeiting at least three weight classes right now. Stephen Delwiche looks really, really good.

for rydell people are right he has to get used to the cut now will make it easy later. and given the way the section is laying out they could end up facing each other in the first round of sections and could get surprised. last time i checked sections is more important. but it doesn't matter to much unless scott west trips over there own feet during tournement time.

Someone needs to check the court house records. There is no way there are more Dvoraks, is there? I'm begining to wonder if it isn't the same Dvorak just coming back every 4-5 year's just with a different first name. Maybe the MSHL should "brand" them, so we can actually tell which one is on the mat.

I'm just kidding around here, but seriously, out of curiosity, can some list all the Dvoraks who have wrestled or who are currently wrestling along with their graduation year? Has there been more than 10 in 10 years?

When will this Dvorak plague end? (just kidding)

Here are the winners at each weight for the MLLC  St. Peter duel

103- Mason Brownlee (MLLC) Maj. Dec
112- Nick Rydell (StP) Fall
119- Zach Friederich (MLLC) Fall
125- Nate Friederich (MLLC) Fall
130- Jeff Tiede (MLLC) Dec.
135- Tim Eckland (MLLC) Maj. Dec
140- Nathan Rosier (MLLC) Fall
145- Brian Zabel (StP) Fall
152- Joey Wilson (StP) Fall
160- Jim Wilkins (StP) Forfiet
171- Zack Rutt (MLLC) Fall
189- Jeff Miller (MLLC) Fall
215- John Krocak (MLLC) Fall
285- Brandon Zabel (StP) Fall

119- was a Tech Fall
171- was a Forfeit

otherwise other's were right

Your right 119 Zach won something like 17-1, that would be a Tech, but I did see Rutt pin someone, wasn't it Felty?

Just a few observation, in a earlier tourney I think they had Haslip wrestling 12 and if I saw right he beat the Rutt girl. St Peter took the easy way out and Rydell sucked down to 12, hey if you lose the weight, you have the right to wrestle wherever.

Also for some odd reason St. Peter had quite a few guys in the middle wrestling up a weight, got me, must have saw some stragety, but it sure didn't reflect in the score.

yeah, my bad i forgot i was remembering when he ran out and he was going tio get a forfeit

"Gym Class"!

I thought all P.E. units had to be safe? How would someone break toes in "gym class"?

I hope he is not out long.
