And not to mention pantherfan stated he hasn't been paying as close attention to the section as other years. It's fun to get it started and see different peoples opinions. Plus anything can happen in section 2AA nobody has a free ticket. |

It was my understanding that this is a fan-based forum which means that most commenters will have incomplete knowledge about teams from other schools. I highly doubt that coaches are putting their teams together based upon our predictions or comments. This open discussion provides an opportunity to build a wrestling base of supporters, both hardcore that track everything from college and post season to the novice whose kid may just be starting. Although there are some kids out there who are wrestling at a level in which they rarely make a mistake, these are still just kids who even amongst the best make a dumb move and get caught which adds to the unpredictability of the whole event. Each class of 2AA has some really good wrestlers so even those projected to be top of the class needs to bring their best game to sections or they could be staying home on February 25th. |

As far as the weights go i went with were the wrestlers are ranked and what i was able to find in results. I gave most the benefit of the doubt if they were ranked lower but hadn't been wrestling at the lower weight as i know many good wrestlers continually weigh in lower and bump up to help their teams be more competitive. It can also be difficult when some teams seem to refuse to post results. That is also part of what makes it a prediction and nothing else. I would be curious to see your predictions and ask what town you think I am from since you seem to know so much ;) |

This one seems to really bug you so i guess i will explain my thinking. I went with a returning State qualifier and someone who had recently beat the #4 ranked wrestler in the weight as the two i believe will make it through. as far at as the 3rd pick goes i guess i picked an upset of a wrestler who is up 4 or 5 weight classes from last year where he finished 4th in the section. I couldn't find any results where any of the 4 had wrestled each other and didn't find any common opponents in the admitted small amount of research i did. I know being from SW its hard for you to imagine someone might not agree with you but I'm sure its not the first time it has happened ;) Lets see the Jeep'n predictions!!! |

I don't make predictions when I don't enough about all the wrestlers in the section. I don't pretend to know more than I do and I prefer to not guess on someone I don't know about or don't have the time to research. As for your logic at 182, I agree with your first two picks being in the mix as both are good wrestlers with a good season going for them. As for claiming an upset of Buesgens, that seems like a long shot at best in terms of a prediction. Why do I say that? He has beat multiple state ranked and top 5 ranked competitors at both 182 and 195 this year. Placed 5th at the Xmas and 3rd at the ROR (beating a #1 and #2 ranked ND wrestlers along the way). Not sure if you were aware of his record and wins. Which is why questioned your guess on it. |

I would like to disagree with the Jeep guy but he is correct about Buesgens. I don't agree with his attitude if you want to throw out a prediction more power to you I believe we have freedom of speech in this country. The thing that kills me is the whole reason they have Forums is the Banter. right wrong or indifferent. My friend runs the Sturgis message board the more posts the more money he makes its very simple. So keep Posting and don't let some guy that likes Jeeps give you crap. I like Fords. B) |

I don't have an issue with throwing out predictions. I never said that...you did. He asked me to make predictions on all of the weights and I said I don't make predictions unless I know about who I am doing predictions on. I don't like to guess unless it feels like an educated guess. I wasn't stating he shouldn't. I thought we were having a nice banter. I have no personal issues with Panther and I enjoy his posts. As I just stated, I had no issue with him making predictions. I just asked the question on Buesgens since he has been the most dominate wrestler at 182/195 for 2AA this year. I did it based on this record not where he is from. I guess I don't like your attitude either, but its what I expect from a ford driver ;) . For instance, how you are trying to put words in my mouth...I thought what I was doing is banter with Panther, but apparently, its a little too harsh for your ford driving self. For the record...I like fords too. They give me more opportunities to use my winch when I find them stuck or broke down on the trail. |

Now i see the whole issue FORD :'( ;) and for the record it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Buesgens wins the section I haven't seen him wrestle all year just caught me by surprise that he could move up 4 classes and dominate THAT IS IMPRESSIVE.I probably should have included him in the top 3 but i didn't. Jeep had some great Commercials on the Super Bowl. I do like old Jeeps CJ-7's are cool. Old Wagoneers were real strong I liked the super low gear in the glove compartment. Apparently we are in agreement. Cant deny that we are Buesgens Fans. I wonder if he is related to any Buesgens from Chaska ? |

I have an old one (CJ7) and a new one (Wrangler). New ones are nice to ride in. Old ones are better looking and easier to work on. In full disclosure...I have a ford 8.8 axle in the rear of the CJ7. Its stuffed with Yukon Gear insides, so its only kind of a ford axle.... ;-) |

Very nice I spent most of my twenty's and some of my Thirty's bulding and destroying mud trucks. My favorite one was my 79 F-150 which we put a Dana 60 in the front 9 Inch Rear I took a 460ci motor out of an old Lincoln blew it up and rebuilt it we made about 600hp with huge torque. I ran 44 inch super swampers. One time when i had my stock 460 first put in I was working nights and my co-worker kept telling me how his old Wagoneer would pull my big truck around the parking lot so we hooked them up one night Well he was right I got pulled all around the lot. soon after that I blew up the motor and we turned the (STRESS TESTER) into a complete off road machine no more road travel, just trailers and mud rally's it was fun at the time. Nice...you are speaking my language and everyone else is getting pi$$ed at us. My father was into the big trucks back in the 70's and I was in to motocross up into the 90's and switched to a jeep (knees were shot). I have been slowly building this one. Replaced the inline 6 with a 4 bolt main 350 with a mild cam, spring over axle lift, swapped rear axle last October (finally killed the AMC 20) and 35's. I need to pull the trigger on full width axles to go larger than 35's and as I am getting close to 50, I don't know if I have it in me to do that swap. Current project is repairing a rusted body and adding 3/16" armor and tube fenders. Northern states winters are tough on the crap steel they used back then. OK...back to wrestling! |

Injuries have been the bane for New Prague to get any "traction" as a team this year. On a bright note, this has given some very young wrestlers varsity experience and three of the injured are juniors who hopefully will be back next year. I hope that grand marshall and Jeep'n notice my trucking reference to keep this comment in the proper mechanical theme for this thread. ;) Edited by Cattle Catcher, Feb 11 2016, 09:24 AM.

From what I have heard it sounds like Reyant, Logelin and Arguedas are probably done for the season. Possibly Knutson for individuals but I doubt it for team tonight. |
