Not sure if its the calm after or before the storm...

So I will kick it off. New Prague guys, will you be able to get some of your injured guys back for this weekend? I know it was a tough time this year for the team.

I respected Knutson's ability before, but after watching him go at with Hall at the Xmas and show no fear...he gained a fan. I would like to see how he would do at the X. Especially being his Sr. year.

After what I read yesterday, everyone may just be a bit tentative to post.

Do the NDSU coaches know that he may be wrestling in sections? Is it even a real possibility that he may be back or is it a ruse?

Another point to debate...

I am still in shock that Jobe from WM was put back out on the mat after he collapsed, although he scored a couple td's after the KO and win the match, he spent the rest of the match staggering around like a drunken college kid.

I would have hated to see him put out against SW had they pulled it off against Hutch.
The Hutchinson trainer said he was fine .he had a bump on his cheek ,and yes he would have won against Belle Plains Jordan coop too.
Are .75, One Bottom, and I, the only 3 that saw this?

I disagree One Bottom, he was not in any condition to continue based on what I saw as the match went on.

One must wonder if a wrestler ( who are known to have great balance )
stumbles backward about 5 steps before falling in his rear end unable to keep upright, that some kind of head trauma must have occurred.
Being a first responder myself I would have had to challenge the Hutchinson trainer's evaluation.

I honestly don't know and haven't heard any good rumors.

I just like his style and want to see him go again. (And I am a SW Fan saying that.)

I did hear the W/ML coach yell at him to knock it off at one point, which would lead me to believe that he was playing possum a little bit. I am not doubting that he was stunned for a while but to how bad I'm not sure. I was very surprised they let him continue the way he went down and the caution everyone has with concussions now. If it was football he would have never been able to continue. Hats off to the kid hat he wrestled that well if he was that dazzed, he hit 2 nice takedowns after the stoppage.

I didn't hear that come from the WM/ML bench. Interesting. If he was playing possum, he is darn lucky that the Ref. or Trainer didn't change their minds and pull him off the mat.

Yes, he did have a couple sweet td's after the tumble.

I rather enjoy aftermath having to type out the Belle Plaine - Jordan each time.

That attempt at being passive aggressive makes me chuckle.

JMO, my senior year when I wrestled 171, I would of loved to see a wrestler that weighed 140 come up and try to wrestle me. That would of been a highlight of my wrestling career possibly beating a nationally ranked wrestler. If people would of told me he would pin me, especially from my own team, I would of laughed in there face. If you think wrestling the same kid over and over has more "benefit", then obviously we have different views.
I don't want to take away from your accomplishments, by no means was I an all-state wrestler, but you were a section runner up, lost your first two matches at state, and would have been willing to wrestle a top 3 nationally ranked wrestler? And you would have been willing to do that a week before individuals? I find that hard to believe.

I don't think I'm offending anyone, other wise their screen names would be "gopanthersgo" and "SWWRESTLINGDAD".

SW 4th seed, kinda sucks. I think they would have made finals if they were on the bottom half. 3rd in state is a good year.

I'll take a stab at it if nobody else is going too.
106- Pickell over Shackle
113- Vos over Stauffacher
120- Huss over Gillette
126- Stauffacher over Luthens
132- Wagener over (Pundsack, Piche) I believe that is going to be a fun match to watch. I know Pundsack won on Saturday but I still don't know who to pick.
138- Donnay over Schultz, I hope to see a Siegle, Schultz round 3 this weekend at some point too.
145- Kelvington over Sweeney
152- Parriott over Milbrett
160- Hemze over Neaton
170- Knutson (if healthy) over Rutt If Knutson can't go I think there are multiple guys that could fight it out for second.
182- Buesgens over Brejle which would set up a true second match versus Kurth
195- I have no idea really. Is Kurth healthy? This weight seems really up in the air to me.
220- Jakes over Stenzel with the possibility of a true second
285- Burns over Swanson with a true second against Schatz

Yes, Burns and Schatz (Belle Plaine) had their battles on the grid iron in two different games this year. Burns and his team won both.

I think this is a good start. Nice work. I would think we will see Schmitz (NP) in the mix at 182. He lost in double OT against Buesgens. He also majored Kurth this season.

I am not from this section and obviously some posters are trying to antagonize the Scott West fans but hasn't it been Scott West for about 25 years now? Also seems like a high percentage of the schools around the state have done the same thing over the last 30 years or so.
