Looking at the certified weights, all below are certified at 120lbs:
Vos-Wac
Stauffacher-SW
Sampson-Was
Entinger-WM/ML
Mateski-Hutch
(Pickel-MW is certified at 113 but has been wrestling 126, does he make 113?)

If all are at 120lbs for sections, should be a fun bracket to watch.
Who makes it?

Kids will definitely move around, I'm guessing a few stay at 126 and Pickell goes to 113. But I'd say in February we will see Vos standing atop the podium at 120 with Sampson to his left.

For those that stay at 126 lbs, throw in:
Lutherns= Hutch
Ja. Stauffacher= SW
Gillette= St.P.
Reyant=NP
Garnatz=Wac.

Which class is tougher? ^o)

Congrats to SW's Tyler Buesgens. Within a matter of hours he defeated the #1 ranked wrestler from class A and the #1 ranked wrestler from class AAA!

Scott West finished the Christmas Tourney with 126.5 points and Waconia was right behind them with 124. Who will come out on top in their dual?

I'll take a stab at the Hutchinson Waconia duel:

106: Tristan Lang over Reese White 3-0

113: Tucker Gifferson over Will Burroughs 6-0

120: Jim Burroughs win by forfeit 6-6

126: Garrett Vos over Dasin Mateski 6-10

132: Brock Luthens over Mitch Garntz 9-10

138- Tim Stapleton over Cale Luthens 9-16

145: Tyler Wagner over Cody Anderson 9-20

152: Justin Shultz over Zach Rueber 9-26

160: Cade Mueller over Logan Wadsworth 9-29

170: Alex Loglein over Chandler Kurth 9-32

182:Josh Filk over Cole Bremer
12-32

195: Tyler Stenzel over Jacob Black 18-32

220: Chandler Kurth over Dylan Gluck 21-32

Hwt: Jake Hawkins over Steele Kim 21-38

These are based on the most recent results. At this point I don't believe Hutch has the guns to keep the duel close. Waconia just matches up too well with them.

It would surprise me if the score was that far apart, just for the simple fact that Scott West only beat them by two. Good Luck to both teams, should be a good dual.

I will take a stab at Scott West vs. Waconia although there will be some shifting around...

106-Hill dec White, 3-0 SW
113-Strack dec Burroughs, 6-0 SW
120-Vos MD Stauffacher, 6-4 SW
126-Stauffacher fall Burroughs, 12-4 SW
132-Shackle dec Garnatz, 15-4 SW
138-Stapleton dec Huss, 15-7 SW (Stapleton will not be favored but he did pin Huss at the X-mas tourney so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt)
145-Wagener MD Fogarty, 15-10 SW
152-Schultz TF Demmers, 15-15
160-Huss dec Mueller, 18-15 SW
170-Logelin dec Carter, 18-18 Waconia
182-Aslakson dec Bremer, 21-18 SW
195-Hilgers dec Fleming, 24-18 SW (don't know much about either of these wrestlers)
220-Gluck dec Menke, 24-21 SW
285-Hawkins fall Alexander, 27-24 Waconia

Should be lots of tossups including 106, 132, 138, 160, 170, 182, 195, and 220.

There are a couple wild cards in this and one will be whether Buesgens can wrestle. Here is how I see it.
Hill Dec White - 3-0 SW
Strickland Dec Burroughs - 6-0 SW
Vos Majors Stauffacher - 6-4 SW
Stauffacher fall Burroughs - 12-4
Shackle Dec Garnatz - 15-4 SW
Huss Dec Stapleton - 18-4 SW Huss got caught and that won'the happen again
Wagner Majors Fogarty - 18-8 SW
Schultz fall Demmers - 18-14 SW
Mueller Dec Huss - 18-17 SW
Carter Dec Logelin - 21-17 SW
Aslakson Dec Bremer - 24-17 SW
Assuming Buesgens can'take wrestle
Fleming fall Hilgers - 24-23 SW
Menke Dec Gluck - 27-23 SW
Hawkins Dec Alexander - 27-26 SW
Hawkins had a hard time with Alexander last year.

Per KCHK website they are not doing radio for Scottwest/Waconia.

They are doing Scottwest/TCU wrestling on 1/12/2017 and Prior Lake/New Prague on 1/13/2017. They do a real good job doing radio for some of the area meets.

Major's are usually worth 4 points...145. It will be interesting to see if the fans and coaches can keep their cool this time. Also, I think the match will be live streamed on thecube.com

I know waconia has a large gym, but what time are they going to open the doors for fans to come in? I expect a gym full of loud, passionate, and hopefully respectful fans on both sides. I plan on bringing my three young boys to watch two tough teams go at it. I am hoping they can learn a thing or two from the wrestling not unruly fans.
