I would not be a fan of the bleachers behind Hutch's bench if I were a wrestler or coach.

Should have opted up to AAA. Most likely they would have been placed in section 6AAA. If they are in that section they make it to state.

What happened at 170 in Hutch vs SW dual? It seems like with a better referee, Hutch is first in the section and Wac and SW are tied for 2nd (25-25).

What happened at 170 ???....SW (10-8) kid beat Hutch's (30-7) kid in the last few seconds. That's what happened !!!

Refs did their job. The ref even started giving back counts when the time ran out.

I know this goes against my rule to not feed the troll, but how doesn't Waconia or New Prague, for that matter, get to be tied for second when they lost in the semi-finals...That logic escapes me.

I agree, the ref calling the match did his job.

The other ref called off the take down as his job was to watch the clock which he was doing. He did his job as well. Agreed.

But then because they were in disagreement they had to check their work.

Then they went to the table to double check with the Scott West wrestling dad who was running the clock for confirmation. The guy struggled to efficiently run the clock and scoreboard the whole night. Poorly done! So of course he sided with his team. Get paid to do a job and didn't have a ounce of integrity to do the correct thing. Classy job COOP!

I guess silly me for thinking the time keeper would be impartial!?!?

Oooh! This looks like fun! Here is my prediction.

We all stay home, let the time keeper from Waseca pick the winners.

The precedence was set in Jordan Saturday night, might as well roll with it.

Looks like a bunch of Waseca kids making it to state!

How come the SW kid only had 18 match's on the year? Was he injured? Bad grades?

I agree with the earlier post. Call on the mat was CORRECT! Belle-Plaine-Jordan Coop table workers should have not been in a position to influence call.

At least we have a new excuse this year. Usually it is the co-op,or the amount of coaches,or they don't shake hands, etc,etc..

It's pretty easy to come on here and be an internet tough guy, calling out the integrity of an ncaa and high school official who has been doing this 20+ years.
Now that's classy.

The referees made the decision, not the table worker. Obviously they conferred and decided it was 2.

Maybe if you asked Jeff Schultz if he was waving off the call OR signaling the end of the period, you would have the correct answer... BUT. Sitting behind your screen spewing hatred will get you nowhere.
Beech, the official in charge of this match was already swiping for back points before Schultz signaled that time was out (NOT waving off the takedown call)

Why does it matter that a kid has only wrestled 18 matches? Since when do records determine the outcome of matches. Disagree with the call all you want, but why worry about records.

Not an official or parent of either Belle-Plaine-Jordan Coop or Hutchinson but time was in fact expired at time of said takedown. Again, just a fan perspective.
