buwahkon, no you do not. My perception is that SW wrestling has set there standards and expectations on winning state titles. Therefore, anything less than a championship is coming up short. Go out and win this thing and make all of 2AA proud! |

With a team like KM has this year it's not realistic to say you'd expect nothing less than a state title because as of now it looks like there's not a team in AA that will come within 20 |

Isn't a State Title EVERYONES goal at the beginning of each year...even yours? We strive to advance as far as we can and are always proud at the end of the year. True, the title has not come yet but that doesn't discourage us from repeatedly trying. No matter where we end this year, we know we will have done 2AA proud |

I have a feeling a lot of people will find out how tough 2AA is this year when our team section champs don't send the most individuals to state this year. I see a couple of teams this year sending 4 or more kids to state. Waconia, Hutchinson, Scott West, TCU. A team like Mankato West has a good chance for two in the finals at state. One hell of a section. |

What's the matter 2girls...is it upsetting for you that a team and its community take pride in the efforts and hard work of their wrestlers and coaches? If Hutch, Waconia, WTM, New Prague, TCU, or any of the other communities for 2AA came on here and stated the same thing about striving to improve and go for the next level, I would respect it instead making comments like a 10 year old. |

Guys - I think the message some are trying to send you is let someone else pat you on the back, don't do it yourself. I know many 2AA people that my comment doesn't go out to but a couple of you on here sure like to read what you write about yourselves. In taking a quick look at the rankings 2AA is certainly impressive and there are many schools that have very talented kids who do not necessarily have powerhouse teams, I like seeing that. That always makes for a fun Section. So, rather than tooting your own horn, maybe throw a little respect to the other Sections and I am sure you will get some back. |

1. I think it was originally intended to mean the 2AA is the toughest section in AA. (not trying to start a debate). Not all sections in the state. 2. In a AA vs AAA, "AA wins 160 & 195, that's it" I guess Ryan (220) beating Foster twice this year means nothing. |

Nope, it meant 2AA is the toughest section in the state. I never meant that the best 2AA wrestlers were completely unbeatable. And I never hinted that they are the best wrestlers in any class or section. I never said that other sections aren't tough. I just simply said that 2AA is the toughest. And it is. It is the deepest with ranked teams. It is the deepest with Lean and Mean teams. It is the deepest with ranked individuals. It is deepest in almost all individual weight classes. Grand Marshall knows this, or at least knew this and forgot (being out of 2AA for a couple years can make someone forgetful). ;) :P |

Ok, I'll bite again even though I feel 2AA is very good. Just looked through the kids and in looking, 1AA has the best team and, if you took the best from each in a dual I don't feel anyone would beat Section 1. |

As he stated, he is referring to depth. Section 1 and Section 2 are consistently sending quality wrestlers to state and having several other quality wrestlers that could compete, but will be staying home. There are several weights in 2AA that will have 1-3 kids with quality wins over other ranked opponents that won't go to state. Last year, 1AA edged out 2AA for total place winners. Combined I think they had 10 or 11 of the individual championships. 2AA put a wrestler in to 6 of the finals. This years looks to be similar in terms of depth for both sections. It will be fun to watch! |

Where is Panther with his individual predictions? He got beat up a little bit last year (including by me), but he did a pretty good job, plus he got the debate going. Its going to be a meat grinder this year. From some of the results I have seen, but mostly read. 106 has 4-5 competitors. 138 is crazy with talent. Can't wait for Saturday's finals! |

195 will be a meat grinder. Wonder which wrestlers will go up to 220, if any? Stenzel is my guess with Kurth going HWT. |

Do you really think Hutch will bump another 220lber up to heavy weight after seeing Filk get Schatzed! I think Filk had a great shot to win the 220 state title his senior year. |

IMO, Kurth will place in state at 220 or Hwt, his choice, however, if Stenzel stays at 195, he only has 25% chance of qualifying for state. If they both bump up, I think they both make state. Both are seniors, I can't wait to see what those Hutch seniors do. 2AA has too many studs, unfortunately it's going to be a heartbreaker for a few seniors that worked their butts off to have their high school season end Saturday, but that's section 2AA wrestling. |

I hope to have some time later today or tomorrow to throw something together but i must admit i have not followed this years results even as close as last so i doubt it will be very accurate. Maybe someone else wants to give it a try also.... ;) |
