Had to bring this too the top again, only because something is worrying me. Where has "Chickenlittle", "3/4 Nielson", "Iowa guy", " Great Gamma" and a few of the other guys that usually have something to say about this bracket been. This worries me, are they planning a suprise attack, always " quiet before the storm". Like Elmer Fudd once said " be bery, bery careful". Miss their input!

Not much to say about this bracket... Tonight is the start of it all. All I have to say is that the only team i see challenging Scott West is Delano. I do not believe Hutch will beat Delano again... Thats all that i have for ya ;)

What are you looking for? As Hutchfan13 said the team seeds were "cut and dry". You and other scott west backers are the quiet ones in my opinion. What say you?

Why would the finals be at 8?? seems dumb

FYI: The finals have been moved up to 7:30 p.m.

Per Hutchinson AD Paul Szymanski:
An executive decision has been made to move the Section 2AA Finals from a 8 pm start time to a 7:30 pm start time. Waconia feels they can move from 2 mats to 1 mat and they will still have enough time for proper warm-ups. The change has been made on the MSHSL website.

So, Saturday is 5 and 7:30 p.m. now.

I'm just a dying old fan, watching the last few years, got me all pumped up. Now I have no one in particular to watch. Should be a good team final, I was just hoping i could get a little more feedback on individuals. What say you. plus i just trying to keep section 2AA towards the top, lol.

Predictions for tonight:
Scott West and Delano breeze into semis
* Wrestling father 1 - watch Nick Rydell and Jim Wilkins from St. Peter - tell us if either of these guys have a shot at making state - or anybody beside Brinkman from New Ulm
Hutch does just enough to get by
* Will Hutch win 8 of the first 10 weights and have it sewed up? They were up 52-3 after 160 last time w/o Z. Friederich and Rutt
New Prague upsets Waconia
* It was 43-32 the first time w/o Redding, Rutt, etc. I say the Trojans win enough matches down low and in the middle to hang on in the end.

wrestling father you want some people to watch out for come individual sections? I would have to say watch out for Rydell and Wilkins from St. Peter like Hutchfan said.
Also i would say you have to watch Poikonen from WM to see if he is going to stay at the stacked 145 weight bracket or jump up a weight and try to qualify at a little weaker weight at 152.
Also 103 should be very interesting with Clobes, Rutt, Seck, and Brownlee very competitive weight.
Also at 119 and 125 are very stacked weight with N. Friederich, Redding, and Zilverberg in the 119 bracket with maybe a few dark horses out there that are being counted out.
At 125 we have Sowers, Z. Friederich, and Siegle.
Other weights i would keep in mind would be 160, 171, and 189.
At 160 who is going to be the top two finishers out of Rutt, Bohler, and sorry i forgot his name but the 160 pounder from Hutch, and i believe Dillion Fogarty from SW has been here and he is a solid wrestler.
Also who is going to join Connor Fogarty at 171 to state?
189 will be another competitive weight and a fun one to watch!

That help a little bit wrestling father?

yes I corrected my mistake I am sorry for messing that up. It makes 112 a lot more interesting with Fleming, Goldberg and Rydell all at that weight should be fun to watch

I'm also wondering about "30 and 35, maybe not the best of wrestler's, but a real dog fight, with the likes of Jordan Hansen, Mark Dvorak, Dan Hermann, Alex Jenson Brian Zabel, possibly Eli Stragent, Joey Stadnick, gonna be some broken hearts.

I think it will be hard to get a feel for individuals, who might do well, cause coaches will probably bump from the studs, if they don't need the match-up.

Flemming and Goldberg just wrestled, with Flemming winning, I have seeing Rydell wrestle a couple of times, he'll have to bring his "A" game.

Also the Heavy's, I didn't know New Ulm's heavy was right in the mix too with Zabel and Kraktze. no room for error.

130 and 135 in my mind are the two weights to watch for. I have stated before potential state qualifiers, but here is that list again in the top four seedings (in my mind):

130: Mark Dvorak (SW), Eli Stangret (Wac), Jordan Hansen (Hutch), Stephen Delwiche (GSL)/Joey Stadnick (WM)
* That is a tough group of wrestlers - will anybody bump up or down?

135: Ethan Smith (Hutch), Ben Brasket (Del), Danny Hermann (Wac - Smith pinned him in 1:06), Brian Zabel (STP)

You'll see Alex Jenson (GSL) at 140.

103 might be the deepest weight in the tourney. Clobes, Seck, Betchwars, Rutt, Hoffman, Anderberg, Elsenpeter, Brownlee etc. I dont know how the format goes but some good wrestlers might not survive to wrestle on Saturday.

I really don't care which team makes it out of our section (but I am kinda rooting for NP/Delano). The only thing is that as a section we test that team here and now so when they get to state it is a heck of a lot easier than it has been in the past. This section has some very good wrestlers that can bring it at the drop of a hat, let's see some of that at state in the team and individuals.

'Nuff said now blow the GD whistle !!!!

Ricardo is young, with a little training, hopefully will be able to see a little bit of Nate in him, when he's in 11th and 12th. Also who was the kid for MLLC at 145 against ME. Steven Claey's is another kid, who tries hard. Thanks

Yes Nate was at 119 last night. It did not look like Nate was feeling to well last night. Ricardo wrestled really well against Nate. Nate had trouble taking him down he was strong at defending the takedown. Also very tough on bottom Nate turned him once i believe. Ricardo defiantly has a bright future in front of him. If he keeps working he will be a great wrestler in the near future. I believe Gus Phillips was wrestling 145 for MLLC
