Smith did not major Braskett and Manderscheid had Tisch majored last time with about 30 sec left and got reversed and got put to his back for a two count so he can major him if he wrestles a smart match. |

For the Delano match, Clobes and Seck at 103 will be interesting. Still searching for that No. 2 seed behind Clobes for individuals. I think that team match will come down to bonus poinst for Hutch - will they be able to get enough in the first 10/11 weights? |

The reason Hutch can beat Delano is that they won 8 of the first 11 matches the first time. Sowers is the best 125 and Roth is better than Settergren at 140 (Hutch could bump up at 125 and then there is a toss up match at 130 with Hansen at 135, Smith at 140). The thing with Scott West is that they are strong where Hutch is strong. Goldberg, Zilverberg, Siegle, Mark Dvorak, Fogartys and Kivel are all at places where Hutch needs some bonus points. Madson would need to beat Kivel, Smith or Hansen would need to beat Dvorak and Manderscheid would need six at 152. Plus the lower weights (112 and 125) would need to stay off their backs. Hutch needs a really good day to get to state. Then again, the girls' hockey team was a decided underdog Thursday against top seed and No. 9 ranked Mankato West and they won 5-1. Anything can happen in the playoffs! Is it 5 yet? |

Guys, You have to remember when you read this stuff........This is mostly just parents of wrestlers or indvidual wrestlers throwing out their opinion. It may NOT be the coaches of our wrestling teams opinions. It is not always their quotes about "wrestling a revenge match" and may not have the teams backing. It could be just individual parents and wrestlers blowing off their opinion to what "they think". The parents are not in the practice room, they do not see or hear the motivation behind the way the coaches handle day to day practice. The imput they have is from their wrestler, and depending on the wrestler (and their age and dispostion) it could be percieved differently from one kid to another. Many wrestling coaches read and watch these forums, but may not actually go on and on with the verbal volleyball matches that end up here between rival teams. It makes for some good reading, but it should not reflect on how one team is percieved to think as a whole. Its maybe how one parent or wrestler feels. We could now go into some sectional matches with extra grudges because of some of this stuff said. Are we really helping our wrestlers in this way??? |

I modified my post. If you two guys say so, then I believe you. The rest of the post still makes the point about "what some are percieving as the way some of our wrestling teams run things.....aka revenge wins etc". It can be one Dad vs another Dad but not the teams thinking. Thanks for the coach imput. |

Thanks but it was to easy, ya see SW is a wrestling program! Everyone else in our section is just a team. Yes some teams do better than others but no one else has a program.. ITS ALL SO EASY TO SEE I could go on but no need to Congrats to SCOTTWEST |

Delano......New Prague......Hutchinson......... they are each a TEAM from one town. NOT a two town combination (Scott West) with some transpants like the Dvoraks from New Prague or Kivel from Prior Lake. Let Belle Plaine or Jordan stand alone and lets then see their "Program" . We are proud to be a "ONE TOWN TEAM" that stands up by itself. |

This topis has been broughten up time after time.... Jordan and Belle Plaine/HF Academy combined there programs to save a sport...would you rather have had them not combine and both schools lose the wrestling program? Plus Jordan and Belle Plaine's enrollment put together probably equals around Hutchinson, New Prague's, or Delano's...it's not like Jordan and BP are huge schools. And yes, Scott West is ONE TEAM! |

Irrelevant to my post!! And I guess Pat LaVessur was born in Hutch, I'll just bet every team you mentioned has had someone transfer in before the rule changed or before that. so quit crying |

holdyourbreathtilitsover.... Don't post again til you know what your talking about... Dvoraks are transplanted? ... I guess another uneducated postee... Jealousy or envy? ... You may not like Scott West but you should atleast give props where they are due. The kids wrestle hard and train hard so why all the negativity? I smell a sore loser..... |

BPwrestling dad is correct, yub is also correct and man, can't believe I'm going to say this, Big Poppa is correct. (have I said that a couple of time this year BigPoppa? If you understand wrestling, you can see the difference in the scott west kids and many of thier opponents. Why? They trian hard, which is why they wrestle hard. They are always in good defensive postion (head and body) they are always working to improve thier postion wether they are on thier feet, top or bottom. I saw serveral matches, where the favorite either lost to a SW wrestler or could not score bonus points. I saw this last year and this year and the only difference is different wrestlers. As Bigpoppa would say, SW justs reload or to yubs point, SW is a program not a team. Here's the thing people, if SW can do it, other teams/program can do the same. They don't have anything special in thier water in BP or Jordon. Thier wrestlers are not more gifted and talented than wrestlers from other communities, though there are a few freaks like kivel. Sure they get a few move ins from time to time, why is that a bad thing? Other communities get move ins too, so becasue a wrestling family picks a community with a strong wrestling traditions to move into, this is a bad thing? BPwrestling dad is correct, give credit where credit is due. Everyone in 2AA should give Scott West props, as they are once again they are best team in 2AA and will be an excellent representitive in the state tournament. Also props to thier fans for the wonderful support they provide the team. Congratulations Scott West and best of luck at the Xcel. Now onto to the individuals next week in Delano! Should be a fun weekend. |
