Will either Luke Zilverberg or Zach Seigle gain enough weight to crack the line-up at 103? I am thinking Zach is around 82? and Luke is around 90? Saw tham at camp a week ago. They will both be very very tough when they can get to 103. They have almost 4 months to go...to get bigger. Not only them, but 2-3 other kids are also very good.

New Prague also has a couple tough lightweights under Natalie. They will fill that bottom spot with strong kids indefinately.
Same wth Hutch, they have Eric Madsen and Tyler Karl to grow into that 103 in years to come, they are also set for years.

Add Herman/Wac
T.Zilverberg/S.W.
Both very solid wrestlers ,and several more wrestlers from sec.2AA. Who seemed to be much improved at the end of last season Like Kyle Pingeon/Wac, Taylor Neaton/W/M/ML, I can't remember all the names but there out there. So it should be very intresting could be some big suprises can't wait! Plus from what everyones saying maybe S.W. could have alot of competion for the title?I still see them as the team to beat.

I see the 2AA Sec. team tournament will be spilt over two days this year (Thurs. & Sat). Is there any reason they changed from the one day event? I liked watching all the teams in just one day wrestle.

MSHSL receives all ticket sales and the local Casey's store gets two tank of gas sold instead of one. I am sure I am missing another reason. ;)

I'm sure the 2AA school districts appreciate having to bus kids twice vs. once.

I’m also sure that the wrestlers appreciate having to weigh in twice now. Couldn't they at least do a Fri./ Sat. and give them a 1 lb. allowance?

Some weights in general.............

Stadnick - struggled to get to 121 for sections - has to be 135+ by now
Stangret - 140-145 by now
Rydell -103?
Goldberg - haven't seen the kid lately - but has the height for 135-140
Flemming -112? Was over 120 by 1st week of Freestyle
Fredrich 125? Why?
Krocak - may have to cut for 215?
Brownlee - gonna be a small 112
Zilverberg - 103 - better bring a weight belt

To give you my answer to the question marks...
Friedrich weighs around 140 now
Krocak weighs around 210 now
and I think Brownlee will win a wrestle off in either weight, 103 or 112.
In my opinion of course...

I don't think 15 pound cut from 140 is that much of a drop. Why wouldn't you if you could?

Hell back in the day I went from 152 during football to 126 for wrestling.

Well I'm not "Fredrich", but if I were I would think of two reasons.

1) Because he can

2) Thorn!

I agree with 3/4, and don't think we will see Thorn at 125 this year. I would say we will see Thorn at 130 or 135. He has already tied up a AA title @ 125 last year, nothing to prove by going back there again this year.

Nate would do very well at 130 this year, even if he ends up wrestling Thorn. There would be no shame if Nate was to lose to Thorn and finish 2nd or 3rd as a result.

your right there is no shame in taking 2nd or 3rd, BUT its still not a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!! It's every wrestler's dream to be a State Champion and with Nate taking 2nd last year I would think that he would'nt be satisfied with anything less than a State Championship.
