Clobes is not going 103, Westerlund NP will be in the hunt, and so far either Betchwars can't make weight or win the wrestle-off with Z-berg, I have yet to see him at 103, bottom line, it will 2 of these to advance to state: IMO...

Elsenpeter/Sweeney wrestle-off winner, Westerlund, Zilverberg/Betchwars wrestle off winner...3 horse race because 2 will lose the wrestle-off...
I don't know much about Tetch...what has he done? won? Beat? Karl will probably be Hutches 103...

Betchwars was at 103 at the X-mas tourny and has the spot for individuals. Luke Z. is still a little small but well see in feb. where they stand.

my mistake Tetch is not the boy I was thinking of (Never Mind)

I see on the schedule that New Prague, Waconia and GSL will be at GSL on Thursday as well as MLLC at Scott west. Am I missing any other 2AA match ups? Question; since Scott West will be at the clash on Friday, will they be wrestling there JV against MLLC? Any predictions with these 5 2AA teams for Thursday?

Glencoe-Silver Lake has had a max of 10 varsity wrestlers this season so that doesn't make them very competitive in many matches. They beat Mound-Westonka and a second team in a quad earlier this year. I'm interested to see what they will be like after the holiday break. A 10th place showing at Montevideo says a lot I guess.

I'll be in attendance for the 5 p.m. match with Waconia Thursday before taking in Hutch and Rocori at 7 p.m. That's a new dual on the schedule for the Tigers, who have been off since Big Bear. I'll have some details and video from both matches that night.

GSL has more than 10 varsity wrestlers. When they beat Mound they had 13 kids wrestle. That alone seems to be more than 10. Besides Stephen Delwiche is still on there roster and has not wrestled yet so there is another varsity wrestler. I am pretty sure he will be back very soon.

Well they were on "varsity" for that duel :P . Need I say more. GSL puts kids in spots where they have a chance to win. Are they very good no, but is coach worm tying to build a program sureits a big work in progress. Besides there are alot of kids out there that shouldn't be on varsity but you have to start somewhere.

Yea SW Wins and by a wide margin MLLC has some very strong wrestlers but like most everyone else in our section. They don't have enough depth to challenge SW....

No brainer! I think Eagle was looking for individual matches that may be worth the addition.......
So YUB, with your infinite wisdom of SW and Section 2AA.... please share with us some matches that we could hope to see....Please?

Since Scott West has the Clash this weekend, I would be surprised to see a full lineup from them on Thursday with MLLC. (They don't need to). Friederich met Zilverberg on 12/10 with a 3-2 win. (Will Zilverberg go down to 125?) Can/Will Siegle take a Friederich match at this time? (May be the match of the night) Who will SW send out for Rutt? Hhmmmmmm...A Dvorak? The duel will not be a contest but you may see 2 or 3 good matches. Belle Plaine, Right?

3/4 I though it was you who has all the wisdom about everything....EagleGA I don't have anything for you just a simple observations. You asked for a prediction and you got one. I don't know the rosters of all the teams or what the coaches are going to do. If you have any insights please tell us all, Although it would be very interesting to see Friederich vs Seigle match. Seems to me everyone is very tight lipped this year about sharing information.

Recaps of GSL/Waconia and Hutch/Rocori on our site now. myprepsplus.mn

I'll have video of both duals as well as a short interview with GSL's Alex Jenson, who moved into second place all-time at GSL with 148 wins tonight. Only Matousek (243) ahead of him. Good company.

Waconia is not as strong as they were last year but they have some nice wrestlers. Braunhausen has really grown (130/135) but is still looking solid. Freshman Kase Jacobs gave Jenson all he could handle. I don't see too many state qualifiers for either team outside of Jenson and maybe Braunhausen.

The Panthers wrestled 13 tonight and they had some nice results. Zach Dahlke and Nate Tesch had nice pins. Mitchell Hartwig will be a section placer at 112. Young guys getting good experience right now - it will pay off late in the season and later on.

Hutch barely survived Rocori. They hadn't wrestled since Big Bear so you could tell there was some rust. Big wins from Anderson and Schlueter to clinch the match. Corey Peterson (BLH kid) has turned into a very nice wrestler at 103/112.

I agree Peterson has really improved and looks great this year (and he was a light 112 tonight), he will be a tough 103 likely starting this weekend as a few will drop down. Becker was at 119 tonight and the other two close.
103 Peterson
112 Clobes
119 Becker

Yes, I heard the lineup will have a different feel at times starting this weekend/next week. Gives a guy like David Misch a chance at 160, but bumps out Tyler Karl I'm guessing. It should be good for Settergren and Rasmussen wrestling at 145 and 130 as well as Anderson at 152.

The Tigers will need to avoid so many bonus point losses to be successful this weekend in Hudson.

That is not a cut on New Ulm its just a question. I'm sure they have a good team....

As far as I know Sowers is still a big ?

Tyler Z. Has not wrestled 125 it doesn't seem like he would go from 135 to 125. but who knows? He is ranked at 130

Seigal has wrestled 135 and is ranked there. I pretty sure he has wrestled at 130 at the X=mas tourny for sure and hes ranked at 135. Maybe he and Tyler should be flipped on the list.

Fleming has not wrestled at119 yet..
