It really helps W-M/ML Getting the #2 seed. We could possibly see a repeate of two years ago in the finals. If so and thats a IF who would be your pick? W-M/ML has been wrestling pretty well as of late. Do they match up good enough to pull out the win vs SW. Or does Hutch match up well enough to have a chance to pull it off on that side of the bracket. I'm not trying to look over anyone, remember I thought Hutch would get the #2 seed. Also we all know any team can get hot and beat another team. I see SW vs Hutch and Delano vs WM/ML in the semi finals.
Yub-so far your dead on.

Semi's on Sat.
sw should beat hutch
WML vs. Del will be close (33-28 last time, 8 wins for WML)

I actually like the way WML is potentially matching up with SW and if WML gets by Del., I think the finals could be closer this year than it was two years ago and a win is with in WML grasp

Well the finals weren't even close 50-16. ;) It looked as if hutch matched up alot better than WMML. Go Scott West represent our section well at state.
Matched better in two matches, but not good enough. Scottwest just does it better, better prepared, better coached, and better developed. Hats off to them best of luck SW at state.

I would add Derksen NU at 130 and Sletta NU at 145 as possible top 4's
Why?
I don't have time to do a full analysis of their seasons, but I think they would be comparable to some of the wrestlers Hutchfan listed at those weights
Well have the beat any of the 4 listed? (yes/no)
Have they beat anyone that have beat the 4 listed? (yes/no)
Simple.....if yes, than add them!
There is your analysis for you..... ;)
I think I did add them.....but it was nice of you to explain things so well for me ^o)
:D Only the top 2 move on! So I guess it really doesn't matter. ;)

Crusader Wrestling,

Thanks for helping SW beat W-M/ML 50 to 16. Your little inappropriate Joke about the Dvoraks needing to be "tagged, tattoed and branded LIKE CATTLE" was all the boys needed to get fired up. We are mooing all the way to state. Thanks again.

I believe he was trying to be funny...It was a joke..He said that he had alot of respect for your team did he not? What do you need for motivation to beat Simely, Foley or Kasson? Cuz I will say something if it would help you win against any of these programs? Congrats on the section championship and good luck at state.

WCC Conference site (Waconia and Watertown-Mayer's pages) says 4:30 p.m. with weigh-ins at 2:30 p.m. - it's funny because host Delano doesn't even have anything listed for wrestling next weekend. Coaches are seeding that afternoon as well instead of the normal Wednesday meeting

130
Jake Siegle, Scott West
Zach Friederich, MLLC
Sam Braunshausen, Waconia
Bobby Rasmussen, Hutch/BLH
Others: Dakota Haslip, St. Peter; Luke Derksen, New Ulm

135
Jordan Hansen, Hutch/BLH
Stephen Delwiche, GSL/LP
Cole Cihak, New Ulm
Andy Bushell, St. Peter

I see you have Jake Siegle at 130 but have noticed him wrestling at 135 after the first of the year. Has he been weighing in at 130 and wrestling at 135 for the team as Friederich has? I see Jake is rated at 135......What weight is he wrestling at sections on Friday?

Won't this be the third year in a row Delano has had individuals, how did this come about? I thought it was always a two year deal? or maybe its not there?

Not sure if this is the third year in a row - only Hutch's second year in 2AA. But I think it rotates among interested schools. Obviously you'd need a larger gym for individuals. Delano uses the main court for two mats and then their extra gym/fieldhouse that is attached for consolation. I haven't been to all of the gyms in the section, but Delano has the most space.

I haven't seen anything concrete on Fogarty-Zilverberg-Siegle. I guess I only assumed they had been weighing down half of the time and would wrestled at 119-125-130. It's anybody's guess with them.

Time for the host team to step up and communicate. I remember last year the lobby was full waiting to gain access to the gym. Appeared to have planning issues. Plus no hotels/motels around the area. Should go to Watertown next or maybe Hutch.... B) :P

My post if anything was ment a complement to the Devorak families wrestling tradition and the SW program, with an attempt to interject a little hummor. I appoligize if I offended anyone.

Perhaps I should have used the analogy of new cars with vin #'s instead?? Get it, vin # on cars that look the same from year to year-side by side on the lot (the model Devorak) from the SW factory??? Being a son from a cattle ranching family from CO, I chose that comparison.

I really don't think the wrestlers/coaches @ SW (an annual state tournament team) actually needed a parent on the forum from an opposing team to post something to get them "fired up"

I think the success of the SW program is about more than motivation speeches from the coaches….

This will be Hutch's 3rd year in 2AA and this will be the 3rd year in Delano for individuals.

Personally I like their gym from a spectator's point of view. Bleacher's on both sides and standing around the top rail. Not sure many others could get 3 mats plus a nice area for warm-ups like they do, but then I haven't been to everyone's gym.
I agree they need to be ready for early arrivals this year and not have anyone standing in line waiting to get in.

Everything is starting to run together ... guess I have been doing this too long. How could I forget the 171-pounder moving up to 215 and beating Pat Brinkman in the championship to make state? Thanks for reminding me that. I'll make sure to use that comparison in my Schlueter story in Thursday's paper. Same gym, same results?

Gyms with ample space for individuals:
Yes - Delano
No - Belle Plaine, Hutchinson, MLLC, Waconia, GSL (unless they use the fieldhouse), New Ulm
Never been - Watertown, St. Peter, Mankato East, New Prague

My guess is because Delano has had it for three years its because it is the best place to hold individuals. Anybody can hold the Final Four.

Is Chanhassen and Chaska splitting off next year?? If so, will they put Chan back in 2AA? I have not been at thier new school yet, so I don't know if the gym is big enough, but there are several hotels in the area.

Also, Watertown Mayers new gym is big enough for individuals, but they would have to do something with the bleacher arrangement.

Hutch had a few wrestlers not feeling very well for a few days, mine being one of them, it's that time of year, they will bounce back.
Considering Hansen's record he's done pretty darn well.
Get over yourself, kids lose once in awhile. A few of WM's did also, are they going up a weight?

Hey now, you know there is no way I'm getting over myself! I'm just saying this kid is a very strong wrestler. Whom even in most of his close matches has pretty much been in control. I've seen him wrestle over the years and he just seemed a little off latly. I know very few kids win every match. We both know that sometimes cutting 1 weight can be to much. Even if the wrestler does not look like its to much. I didn't know he has not been feeling well and am in no way trying to insult this boy.

What don't you get about the question?

I know Jake is that good!, on a very good team!, The question had nothing to do with Mr. Seigle. That must not of crossed your mind?

The question wasn't how could he possibly lose to a very good wrestler. or to anyone else. It was based on having watch Mr.Hansen for a number of years. It seemed to me he may be a little off, Yet I was wondering if for the team he may have gone to low. I was then informed he may be not feeling well and that could be all there is to it.
