Hansen won 6-2 in 2OT....got a late 5-pointer to pull out the win. He also got a break with Ryan Swenson losing....obviously the kid from Waseca who beat him is very good, but is not a defending state champion.

Clobes lost to Mitch Dunlap of Foley 4-2....Dunlap finished third and Clobes was fifth last year. Clobes is likely done as Dunlap faces Cody Paulsen tomorrow. Clobes did beat Paulsen, so we'll see.

myprepsplus.mn for some updates on Hutch area wrestlers (DC, Litch, Hutch/BLH, EV-W and ACGC)

Rough outing for the 152-171 pounders.
11-17 on day one. Nice wins from Neaton, Hansen and Retzlaff to name a few.

Hessing barely escaped against an unranked guy...Dolezal with a state win...Fogarty is a stud! Just a few thoughts from Day One.

Like some draws for 2AA tomorrow.

Ok, I blew it but all three of us were wrong to some degree. SW did ok in the lower wts and I thought SW was on it way then we were horrorably bad in the middle and the upper weights were taking chances. Congrats to Milaca. Good Luck with Simley. Congrats to Coyotehunter and Big Poppa 11. Big Poppa, I believe this evens us up.

Yes, Scott West is still going to be the team to beat! I'm not totally sure but they return over half of this years team. I really think we could see a rematch in the final again. WM/ML losses Three biggies I know but they will have 9 returning varsity starters. 3 state entrants and 4 more section place winners. As for Individuals not sure yet on that?

You must be from LeCenter. ;) Added the two. I think Mario will be a force to watch this year. Lloyd will have his work cut out for himself but doable. The question is where is Selly and Brownlee coming in at.......

If this rummor is true in typical SW fashion they will insert the next wrestler down the line on the depth chart. Whether or not they can do what pesche could we wont know. What we do know is they produce solid wrestlers every year. I say let the chips fall where they may and in a week or so we will know where he is going to school.
