No where. :D
Holes...none. Spots where you can win a match...125, 145, 171 and 285.

103: Z. Siegle - ranked No. 6
112: Betchwars - very solid
119: L. Zilverberg - ranked No. 6
125: A. Fogarty - one of the spots where teams can win (although he did beat a quality LS-H kid 1-0 Friday)
130: Dobmeier - ranked No. 9
135: G. Fogarty - ranked No. 7
140: J. Siegle - ranked No. 3
145: P. Dvorak - beatable, but holds his own
152: T. Zilverberg - ranked No. 5
160: N. Dvorak - very solid
171: M. Dvorak - one of the spots where teams can win
189: Z. Dvorak - ranked No. 7
215: Kroells - ranked No. 1
285: Lucas - holds his own against smaller guys, has wrestled at 215

This is one of the most balanced teams I've seen in a while. They have some very solid kids behind these kids, too.

Didn't Betchwars just beat Siegle at 103 in the Hutch tournament? I wonder which one of the bottom three will be bumped out for individual state.

I saw in the results that there has been a Charlie Pesch sighting. He wrestled 140 and got 2nd. If Patrick Dvorak is beatable will having Pesch wrestle 145 be a better option for the team? The kid he lost to is ranked #10 in AAA.

if Pesch was the better option than I would assume he would be wrestling varsity right now

Up until now they have not needed a better kid at 145. I am saying come team sections/state. I am not in there wrestling room so I purposed a question for this forum. If they are both getting varsity matches right now at different weights whats saying he won't try to wrestle off for a spot come late february? Look at 103 and 112. You have three kids that are really tough and could place but only have 2 spots, what is a coach to do? Answer the best for his team and him and his coaching staff must come up with an answer. The good thing is they still have time. the bad thing is they are running out of time.

Hutchfan13,

125, 145, 171 and 285 are all really good wrestlers...each has placed in multiple tournaments, beaten quality and even some ranked wrestlers and would be the "Stars" and "Studs" on many other teams. No holes here. I believe they all have winning records. Good luck beating them. With the depth you mentioned, remember these 4 wieghts beat out other good varsity level wrestlers. SW reloads.

jtd,
Charlie Pesch is a new team member this year who was a A state participant in the past. He is a really good wrestler who has joined at team full of really good wrestlers. He will fit in and wrestle as the team needs. It is a gift to have this much depth.

Scott West really doesn't have a lot of depth. Haven't seen many jv guys in the upper weights in the ROR results

MNnice,

From what I have heard they have 4 guys that could wrestle 171,189 weights ( not counting the two that do) but thin out alittle at 215 and 285. Thats 8 for that top 4 weights.

I didn't mean to knock any of the Panthers. I know whenever you get a Dvorak or Fogarty on the mat, you're going to get a great effort. There is no easy six points anywhere in the lineup.

Obviously Scott West will be the No. 1 seed at sections. After that, though, 2-4 are up for grabs in my mind still. I think if Hutch/BLHS beats WM/ML next Tuesday, they're No. 2. Vice versa for the Royals, who already topped New Prague, 37-32. The Trojans probably are still in the mix and they are supposed to wrestle Hutch/BLHS the final weekend. I believe they seeded on Sunday or Monday last year so that meet would be completed in time for seeding.

Anyone see any other team in this section lying claim to a top-four spot (receiving a bye and hosting the first round/quarterfinals)?

Can those 4 guys win any matches on Varsity? They may be able to fill a couple weights, but the next couple years look pretty slim for the upper weights.

I would add Waconia to the mix.
I have them No. 5 right now ahead of ML/LC and St. Peter.

Hutch/BLHS beat them already. WM/ML faces them Thursday. New Prague doesn't wrestle them.

WM/ML SPANKED! by Scottwest the score doesn't even matter. THE GAP IS HUGE in section 2AA..... Once again the battle left to fight, is for second best in the section. It might be funny if it wasn't so bleeping pathetic!!! I guess they do have magic beans, I mean they must? how do they do it?

58 to 9 SW over WM/ML, 73 to 4 over Waconia. Waconia won a major at heavy weight. 6 of the 9 WM/ML points was a FF at 189 because the kid has a bug. Stadnick and Zilverberg had an exciting match. It was close all the way til the end with a 4 to 2 dec. to Stadnick. SW looked tough. The ref was horrible. Screwed up the 160 match something terrible. A 6 to 2 win for SW over ranked WM/ML kid. The WM/ML ranked 160 kids only points were penalty points given by the ref over dubious calls. Then he had the sportsmanship to throw in an efenhiemer at the SW team and the ref let him walk. Where's the love ?

Many of the SW wrestlers practice year-round and wrestle freestyle/greco. They have great coaching plus they put in the mat time. It's not magic, its hard work.

Good coaches
Ya think!!!!
but it's not only coaching moves, conditioning, ect........ It, I think it goes that most coaches don't really have any real commitment. They just plow ahead safe in there jobs happy with average out comes. Uncommitted to their programs and mostly Uncommitted to their kids. That is truly @#$%ty, how do you do that to a kids. Remember earlier in the tread we talked about egos what a ego it must take to @#$% on a team of kids. Unfortunately is is every where and poisons most H.S. programs
