So what you're saying is if SW could magicly bring back this year's team, and they were the same age and talent level, that next year there are teams in 2AA that would be competitive with them? I disagree. |

No, what I am saying is that other schools are improving also, maybe more than ever better. Unless something major happens at SW, they will always put good teams on the mat. SW lost a number of quality guys last year and will lose alot this year. I think they will have a tough time putting a team on the mat that is as good as the last 2+ years. |

Does anyone know the box score for Mankato East and St. Peter? Looks like it was a good dual. |

Yeah, you would sure hate to credit any other 2AA team with building their program and getting better...it HAS to be that SW won't be as solid. And, although you're probably not crazy, you are arrogant. |

The parent and volunter commitment has driven Scott West wrestling for the past 5-10 years. Coaching seems to be very good and has flourished with a exceptional support crew. If that continues, the Panthers will continue to be a force in 2AA. Without that support, they could be just another team in the "pack". IMO |

Hutch/BLHS 39, Chaska/Chanhassen 25 tonight ... really good match for the Tigers. Eric Madson won 7-3 over previously ranked Trent Butcher. He was down at 126. Riley Drew was also down at 113 and looked really good in a first-period pin. Anthony Settergren added another pin to his total at 152. Haven't seen all the teams, but I have now seen New Prague and Hutch/BLHS and I think if they are the second and third seeds it will be a really good semifinal match. |

Went to the Scott West dual with PEM and NYA last night and from the looks of it SW will have plenty of big kids to fill in the spots of all the graduating seniors. |

When is Scott West going to break back up into Jordan and Belle Plaine? Seems like a lot of kids are losing out on a chance to compete in athletics at those schools. |

Perfect Circle, In most of the results I've viewed, Scott West has been competing a good portion of the year with a 13 man squad. Just something to consider before moving to break up what has become one of the most prestigeous programs in state and local history over the last 20 years. Do you know how many juniors, sophmores and freshman they have? You must see depth that no one else does. They aren't even compteing in 9th grade league events this year because they dont have enough kids. Who is losing out on a chance to compete? |

WIZZER6 makes a great point. W/o a combined program, both schools would have unfilled positions. |

It's there. They find a way. I've been moving to break them up for 10 years, ill be doing for another 10, or until Jordan and Belle Plainer add a third Winter Sport. |

Its about time for the "split up SW" cry babies to come out. Last year they waited until after state. They have little to no clue about the dynamics of the team. They just want one less tough team in front of theirs and instead of doing what it takes to beat SW, they would rather try to remove good competition. This response may sound harsh, but its the same crap every year from someone who doesn't like losing to SW. |

Do what it takes to beat SW? Might mean combining with another school, that's what they did to start winning. |

That is what they did to be able to fill a team. The difference is the dedication of kids, coaches and community that make them winners. They have developed a winning program and haters like you come on here to try and convince someone without any facts or information to back what your are saying. If schools have issues fielding a team, I have no issue with them going into a coop to do so. I would rather see 2 or more towns come together to field a competitive team than go watch 4 to 5 forfeits. I am from Jordan (Tim Derochie). Who are you and where are you from? Instead of hiding behind an alias, say who are and where you are from. If you are not from these communities, you have no right to ask for a 3rd winter sport to be added. If you are from here, go out and get community support to add another sport like what was done to add trap shooting. Edited by Jeep'n, Jan 22 2012, 10:50 AM.

Anyways.... Scott West is obviously going to be #1 seed. Who gets 2? Hutch or New Prague? Going to be close! I see Hutch is ranked 8th in AA but New Prague has beaten Shakopee and Prior Lake Friday, and just beat Grand Rapids Saturday. They dont wrestle until sections. Predictions?? |

I predict Hutch and New Prague will meet in the semifinals 2 vs. 3, it doesn't really matter much. You just don't want to be the 4-seed and face Scott West in the semifinals |
