Are you assuming Siegle will still be out at this time or assuming he won't be 100%?

Or are you saying he won't beat either of your choices? Curious as to what your thoughts are on this.

IMO, if Siegle is back and healthy, I place at the top. The key is him being healthy by sections...

I don't think he has wrestled at 106 or weighted in at that weight all year. I could be wrong on the weigh-in part.

Give it my best shot - I'm sure I will be way off. I have only seen Hutch/BLHS one time and New Prague twice.

106 - Knutson dec Wadsworth NP 3-0
113 - G. Parriot dec Drew NP 6-0
120 - Berg pin Kostelecky NP 12-0
126 - Madson pin Nelson NP 12-6
132 - Cole dec Schmidt NP 15-6
138 - Reinartz maj Petersen NP 18-6
145 - M. Parriot dec Rasmussen NP 21-6
152 - Settergren pin Davis or Zeimet NP 21-12
160 - Fraser maj Maruska NP 21-16
170 - G. Jordahl dec Giles NP 21-19
182 - Sirek dec Mellies NP 24-19
195 - Preston pin Filk NP 30-19
220: P. Jordahl pin Saunders NP 30-25
285: Piepmeier dec LaFavor NP 30-28

Changed it around by moving down the NP guys, switching Madson to 126 and adding Petersen in the line-up for Hutch/BLHS. [quote/]

Well I am saying he is going to have his hands full especially being out for his injury.
Parriott only has 3 losses, and they were all at the Rumble and I think Elsenpeter maybe has 2?

I don't know for sure, but either way one of these 3 kids is going to be staying home and ALL 3 deserve to be at the Excel

Its just my prediction, so YES, I think Siegle will get 3rd :)
Anything is possible and we all have our hunches!

I really haven't followed anyone other than SW this year (other than Montgomery in Jordan I did not have the opportunity to see them on the road for duals like I have in the past). I going to watch NP and SW tonight, so I will get a better feel for NP tonight.

I am familiar with Pariott's and Elsenpeter's successes (both are very good) and feel comfortable with comparing them to Siegle, but my bias to SW would probably be too much to judge most of the other weights without having seen them actually compete...

Will be difficult for NP to hang with SW - as it has been hard for everyone this year. They have a powerful team this year (possibly better than last year). I think the greatest challenge will be can SW mustard up a way to shuffle people around and keep it close with Simley at the state tournament. Simley has a stronger line up - but would argue that SW is the best at shuffling bodies around for match-ups, and staying off their back than almost any team in the state.

3- 5 kids ranked no little parriot and berg thats about it
The team is deeper then what you may think. Check today's honor roll in the star tribune. You do not beat Shakopee, Prior Lake, BEA, Chatfield, Grand Rapids, WEM /JWP, Maple River and have a record of 22-2 with just two really good wrestlers. But that's alright, you can continue to underestimate the Trojans because it does not appear that your comment has any substance.
The topic is about your kids (not) being ranked, not that you have a hand full of decent wrestlers. NP will send two guys, Griffen and Preston and niether will place, maybe they should rank down to twenty, you would have 5 ranked then.
The 96 in your name must stand for when you were born? Hmm.. So you are what 15, maybe 16 years old.. Which means you are most likely a sophmore in high school who wrestles. But besides that, Would you mind adding yourself in this topic and explain why, at most 2 kids will make it?
I agree with TOPSTEP
If you know everything before it happens, I'd love to save some time and gas money and just stay home. Can you just send me the results to this years sections so I can start predicting state brackets already? Thanks!

And 2nd.. I am almost certain I stated that NP is a solid team without many holes. Are you arguing with that? If so, what happened to Shakopee and Prior Lake? Just wanting to clarify when i say a team is under the radar, I mean a TEAM that is not getting recognized for tough wins! A SOLID/good team isnt the same as a team with 5 superstars and 9 holes. Agree?
I never stated they have a team full of superstars, I said a line-up with solid wrestlers who fight for their TEAM!

And if Griffin wont place, I really hope Johnshoy can find a bracket where he can, because I believe he just got beat by Parriott? Then again thats AAA
Thank god you guys are gettihg mad at that other guy (leglace) and not me.

Lets stay on the right topic that got brought up, WRESTLERS RANKED, not the teams you guys beat.
NP has a decent team flying under the radar, yes I agree. But 3 to 5 ranked guys, really, name them.

And lets just relax a little, people make predictions on here every 10 minutes, I make one about NP and the the Trojan dads get all fired up.

And remember if you get to finals in sections, you might get shutout!!:-(
I wasn't too far off!!!!!

SW 61 to NP 3. Preston only win for NP and it was close down to the last 15 secs. with a score of 8 to 4 over Riker.

For all the talk of how good NP is, it was put into a proper perspective tonight. NP has some decent kids but not to the level of ranked kids. NP only has 2 seniors and will be much better next year and will have ranked wrestlers and a ranked team.

NP and Hutch will be the best team match at sections and I give the edge to Hutch in a close one.

Well I was there watching and the score was bad, very bad. But honestly NP did wrestle some tight matches. Not to mention G Parriott and their 220 was out along with Berg up at 126 instead of 120. It wouldn't have made too much of a team score difference though. Maybe a few points but still a butt-whoopin'. But there would have been 2 more fun matches to watch!

Overall a pretty bad score. A few good highlights and matches along the way.

Individual sections is the main concern for other teams to have the best chance to beat Scott West kids.

Got to say NP's lower weights are going to be tough against Hutch with G Parriott at 113, Berg 120, Nelson 126, Cole 132, Reinartz 138, and M Parriott at 145. Thats where NP needs bonus and to save bonus against Hutch IMO. Those matches, I think, will determine it.

There is obviously a huge gap between the 2nd ranked team and the 12th ranked team in AA.

That is true - but, considering the 2nd ranked team in AA - is also the 3rd best team in the state, makes that that spread not that unrealistic. Considering they have not lost a dual yet this year - they probably have a similar gap between probably 90% of the teams in the state. Other than Simley and AV - I think you will have a hard time finding a team in the state that will win 7 matches against them.

There is a huge gap between 2nd and 4th or 5th. Anyone below Foley doesnt even have a chance. So, hating on a team from the SAME SECTION isnt going so well for you. You act like Scott West wouldnt do that to the majority of ranked teams in all 3 classes.

106: David Flynn Maj Josh Loiacano 4-0 SW

126: Luke Zilverberg dec Dan Grove 9-4 SW
132: Eric Bauer fall 10-9 HAS
138: Andrew Fogarty maj Dan Marquette 13-10 SW
145 Andrew Fogarty fall Swenson 19-10 SW
152: Charlie Pesch dec Hunter Swenson 22-10 SW
160: Patrick Dvorak dec Bryan Rauchy 25-10 SW (toss up)
170: Nick Dvorak maj Andy Rauchy 29-10 SW
182: Alex Nygaard dec 29-13 SW
195: Jake Swenson dec Mike Riker 29-16 SW (Toss up)
220: Michael Kroells fall Isaac Eichmann 35-16 SW
285: Jake Anderson dec 35-19 SW

I see SW winning this one solidly. Really bad matchup issues for Hastings. It could be closer if Hastings gets an upset somewhere and they can keep Michael off of Eichmann.

Hastings has some flex in there where they could move around a bit, but I'm not sure it would make much difference. I'll say 35-19, but wouldn't be surprised if it ended up 29-25 or so.
