If Siegle and Parriot are both in the same bracket, I bet that Siegle wins. There, that should clear it up.
Big poppa - you got some donuts to buy for a few people on the Parriott / Siegle Match!

who will win 126??
Madsen obviously will win the 126 bracket
Zilverberg may have something to say about that.
When zilverberg takes third in state then I'll consider him
I didn't realize there was such a huge difference between finishing 5th and 3rd in state.

Do I think Madson has the edge? (Did I spell it right - that's how is listed in the rankings?) Maybe...but I don't put it past Zilverberg to pull it off considering he has already seen this level of competition most of the season.

Should be a great match.
Maybe you shouldnt have talked too soon. I dont think Zilverberg got a chance to wrestle Madson.

Thats fine, I will honor my bet to the original person I bet. Maybe make a state placing bet. Either way, I get to watch my team on Thursday while you sit at home.

I believe I acknowledged this in an earlier post and even wish Madson good luck, but if you feel better bringing it up again...good for you.

Hopefully next year they will meet up.

No plan on being there too, should be a great day - and maybe "my" team will meet your team in the finals, we are blue and white - we are pretty good this year too, and only ranked 1 ahead of you - good luck. ;)

Jewitt looks smooth and I think is a 10th grader. I didn't see the match, so don't know if it was closer than score suggests, but heard he beat Sweeney 9-0 earlier in the year. I see he lost to Flynn 8-2. Based on those results, he may be the favorite for the 2 spot....
Congrats to Sweeney at 106. He was down 3-0 with about 20 seconds left, gets a 2 points reversal and a 3 point near fall as time expired to win 5-3! Great moves, exciting stuff! Good luck at state!

KNUJ's website reports Giles of NP and Schmitt of New Ulm in finals at 160
that's the only thing I can find.
Tough night for Giles, lost to Schmitt and then crushed by Phillips. Ends the tournament with 3rd.

Also, Hartwig lost to Fogarty and then pinned by Lloyd. Piepmeier lost to Kroells and then lost to Franklin.

On page 80, BigPoppa11 only acknowledged a bet with cowcatcher, thus making a binding contract. As such, he will need to pay up to cowcatcher.

Although buttkickers stated it was a bet, there was no acknowledgement of the bet.
From a legal standpoint, the agreement of the bet was not entered into by both parties. An acknowledgement of the bet by BigPappa would of made it a valid contract, but in this case no acknowledgement, no bet. So no payout...

PickH, as well as myself (Jeep'n), made predictions (PickH even stated he was sticking to his prediction), so no formal notice of a bet was made. So no payout is required.

20 year of of reviewing contracts plus a half a dozen undergraduate law classes finally help out a serious issue!

Who from 2AA has a chance to place at state or maybe take home a title. Obviously Kroells has best odds of winning state, but for some, placing is a HUGE honor.

Who do ya'll think is going to take home some hardware from the section?

I woldn't go so far as to say he has "obviously" the "best odds". He has a decent chance, and very well could do it, but it looks as though he has some extreme matches to make it trough. There are some pretty impressive records in that bracket.

I will go out on the limb and say Kroells pins his way to the championship (actually I don't feel like I am climbing out on a limb with the championship, but the pinning his way may be a challenge if he gets someone balling up on the mat) . Also, I would say obviously the best odds with no reservation.

With the exception of Goergen who he has not seen and the biggest reason for jumping to Hwt., he has dominated everyone in 220 lbs and Hwt this year. He pinned Stoll twice in the preseason tourney, pinned both the top 3AAA Hwts. a couple weeks apart. Beat a #1 ranked hwt out of Iowa at the Denver-Tripoli tourney (I believe this was his closest match in terms of competition). Beat (and pinned) many of the others ranked at those weights.

I agree, he will be 1st...however to pin his way through not sure. Davion Franklin with a record of 7-6 didn't get pinned until 5:35...I think Kroells will go the full six min. and win
