I guess we watched two different matches. But we generally agree to disagree. I saw a close match with a take down making difference. Both wrestled tough and Parriott did what he needed to win. Congrats to him, especially fighting all the way back from an early loss. I am looking forward to the seeing them again. I got a feeling the scores will be 3-2 in most cases. As for the winner, it will be like last year. Either one is capable of winning. Just depends who pushes the most for it. |

Guess we will disagree- I was basing my opinion on couple different things Siegle took 0 attempts at a takedown Rode Parriott for less than 3 seconds (according to clock on Youtube) Parriott was the agressor with 4 shots - Siegle needing to be on defend most of the match Parriott never really in risk ever of giving up points Interested in your take................... |

The chances for Seigle or Parriott riding out the other is minimal and he released him. Considering its going to the feet anyway it didn't surprise me. However, I agree I would have liked to seen Zach be more aggressive on his feet. Although that doesn't equate to controlling a match. As for taking 4 shots...if you think taking 4 shots in 6 minutes is controlling a match, I guess we have different views on what control is. I saw more hand fighting and competition for position by both them than anything. But if you don't shoot, it reduces your chances for a take down. Parriott wrestled a smart match and won, so he did more get it and congrats to him. But I am not ready to crown him the champion for section 2 over Siegle and anyone who does is misguided as these two have provided us several fun to watch and close matches from the end of last year to this. You are a big homer and I am homer as well (although I consider you to be more of a homer than me :-). Again, we will agree to disagree, with the exception of looking forward to these two going at it again. |

Difficult to say.....Delano did not have entries at 113,132,152,160,170,182 and 285 for the Delano tournament on Dec. 8th. I do not know why those weights were open for them at the tournament. Waconia had a full lineup for the tournament and took 3rd behind AV, and WTM. |

Scott West Pathers vs. TCU Titans Thursday the 20th. Scott West has a secret weapon at HWT with 9th grade 6'5" 280lber, might be a good match with fellow 9th grade HWT Burns from TCU. Was looking forward to seeing him at Christmas Tourney but they held him out. |

BTW Blue Earth is tough as nails. To bad JCC is in there section, but we will be seeing a lot of BEA individuals making it to state for them. Remember the BEA football team just came off a football Championship and half there wrestlers were on that football team, they are all athletes. |

You are right - fortunately NP has enough depth with bodies - that they can run 3 JV kids out against BEA (while saving match counts due to Christmas Tournament and Rumble coming up) and still win. Depending on how many matches some of these teams get up at the rumble, you may see Watertown and Scott West and New Prague having close duals in the future more frequently. To win, and manage match count when competing against other teams that do not participate in the larger tournaments - makes it challenging against teams that can run out their starting line up each and every week. |
