Wow, great matchup with NP and Hutch that should have been the section final. The gym was really rocking. Hutch had a shot but tough to win giving up all those pins. Congrats to NP and good luck at state. Peaking at the right time for sure. |

Wow, Last night in Watertown. That is all I can say....... 4 great teams, The battles were awesome. New Prague brought it's game in the Championship. I truely believe that the 15th man was a factor also. There fans where behind them, screaming , chearing, and supporting them every match. The red T-Shirts had a statement on the back "ON A MISSION" That was true last night. Congrads to New Prague. |

Wow is all I can say also! The New Prague vs. Hutch match came down to the wire. Hutch won the flip and they got all the matchups they wanted. Starting with G. Parriott and Karl, then Madsen on M. Parriott, and Filk on LaFavor. All the close matches went in favor of Hutch also, starting with 106, 138, and 145. Hutch brought the heat but the 6 matches NP won they won with bonus points. Hutch could have easily been making this trip to state with LaFavor on his back for it seemed like 30 seconds! The Watertown vs Scott West match looked real similar to what it looked like during the regular season but with less bonus points mostly by Scott West. When SW FF at 182, they had people scratching their heads but I’m sure the coaches had a plan but it back fired. The New Prague vs. Watertown match really didn’t tell the story how tough Watertown really was as all the matches that could go either way went to New Prague. New Prague peaked at the right time, and I think the Kwam vs. Sweeney upset cared through the rest of the line up as New Prague knew they were in the driver seat as they won 6 matches in a row with a narrow win from Torres at 182. Congratulations New Prague on the great tournament and good job to the other top 3 teams for giving hundreds of people a day they will not forget for a longtime. |

Did Scott West feel their chances slipping at 182 with the forfeit? Would that decision have carried their team to the state tournament with having to forfeit at state also? |

Not really sure what Scott West was thinking about FF at 182, it must of been the only chance they had left to win the dual, but thinking that was the area NP could use a win against them in the next match, it would of been a tough hole to start a match in. |

How tough would NP be if Kass and Westerlund didn't have to move as well? Wow they must have a great structure in place to be able to lose 2 great talents and still put together a team like this. Congrats. |

When you think about it, Kass and Westerlund wouldn't have made much of a difference last night at all. With Parriott at 120, Berg at 126, and looking at how well Kvam performed at 132 last night, I don't think that those two being on the team would have had any impact. I'm sure that Westerlund would be a great addition for NP at 113, but Knutson won both of his matches last night anyways so wouldn't have mattered. Just my opinion |
