He is listed at 160 for this event. Is this accurate, and will he also be there for freestyle?

I would highly doubt that is accurate, but it is his last shot at winning Fargo, so you never know.

Keep in mind that Rutt wrestled at 163.5lbs for Fila Juniors just a couple months ago. It is a cut for him but it's not ridiculous.

Well, I wouldn't doubt that he goes down....but I don't think all the weights are correct on trackwrestling.... I know they have Brandon Klug at 145, and I know there is no way in heck that he'd make that weight....and i signed his slip at 160.

Chill, people. Camp isn't over yet (and it hasn't even started for Junior Freestyle). I'm sure that the states had to have their rosters turned in early. This happens every year. The coaches don't know who's going which weight until camp is almost over (which is after the deadline for the rosters). Track Wrestling gets adjusted after weigh-ins.

I know Rutt is going at 160, my son is at camp and said he only has a couple pounds to go. If you are looking at track wrestling, they have Kahnke, Eichmann, Berg, Spoden and Bahr all at 98 pounds. I bet it has been years since any of them have weighed that... :)

I had to have stuff entered by Monday at noon for the pre-registration cut-off. The more I could get entered the easier it will make it on me when I go to do the actual registration when up in Fargo. Name/weights entered on there right now mean absolutely nothing though. I'm not even sure why they bother to post it.

He has already won a National title in Fargo, so you really can't say its his last chance to win a fargo title, maybe you could say He wants to win another Fargo title, but i think he could do it at either weight. All I got to say is watch out Alec Ortiz, not 2 years in a row!!

No point just an observation. However one my conclude the cut to 160 was a big cut for him due to the fact that 3 days latter he was at the limit for the next weight up.

He could have gone 160 for Freestyle, but he chose to go up to 171. There were wrestlers there who cut a lot more than he did - and some of them weren't able to make weight the 2nd day with the 2 lb allowance.

Do they weigh in each day, or is there 1 weigh for each style? Also what was the nature of his injury default in his placement match?

There is weigh ins the second day in which you get 2 lbs. He tore Ligaments in his hand.
