Question: IS there only a womens division for Juniors? Can 8th grade cadets who are female compete in it? Is there a Cadets womens bracket? If not maybe they should add one. Decent numbers for womens Jrs...adding a cadet division would certainly grow numbers, then maybe they could add a School Girl divisiona nd so on down the line as the sport grows. |

Rutt might be going to the Badgers but he is still wrestling for Minnesota as of right now. When they meet in college it might be tough on me but today was easy.. Congrat's Travis. |

Nice job by Travis and all of our Minnesotans for a real nice Job. Another 2nd place I know its not as good as first but considering the level of competition 2nd place twice in a row is pretty darn special congradulations. |

With the exception of the actual Gophers coaches/wrestlers/parents, anyone who really knows Travis or his family would have a hard time ever cheering against him. Nice job T-Rutt! |

He is a class kid. If you see how he treats each of the other wrestlers on the team, no matter their wrestling stature, he treats them all the same: the way he wants to be treated. It is too bad that he is not going to be a Gopher. Congrats, Travis. |

I'm not sure if they announced an OW but the 285 champ had 7 pins. It would be hard not to give it to him. |

I see that McCauley 135 and Ness 130 seperated for FS. Hopefully MN brings home 2 champions with that strategic move. And it clears the way for Ness to go for the triple crown... |

I have to comment on the Apple Valley participation. Anyone who chooses to knock Apple Valley for any reason, including transfers, should look in to this first. Look at their participation in the biggest off season camps/tournaments of the year. Justin Lavalle - Finalist Tyler Lehmann - 3rd Place Tom Kelliher - 7th Place (Beat the Champion who Lavalle lost to) Craig Kelliher - Went 6 rounds deep Jared Hoeppner - Went 5 rounds deep That's five impressive finishes in ONE style, ONE age group, from ONE school. I know they have Cadets and Freestylers wrestling as well, but I thought that was a very impressive feat. These are also the same guys that are at every single regional practice together. I am also almost positive that except fro Hoeppner, they are all staying for Freestyle. |

Does anyone have a breakdown of how many kids are wrestling at FARGO from each HS. Does AV have the most kids represented? Is there a HS section who has a higher number? It would be interesting to see if there is a coorelation between HS success and the number of kids (from that HS) that participated in Fargo. I will start: Chaska has 3 kids at fargo. |

I don't think we would really need to guess at the answer to that question.
I think Bisek told me they had something like 5. An impressive number. |
