I found this opinion piece interesting. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/42073-o...the-translation I thought it was rather silly. Obviously Olympic wrestlers are better wrestlers than college wrestlers. It only makes sense that they'd be better at MMA because they have more wrestling talent. However, the article makes it sound like Greco and Freestyle are better preparation for MMA than college wrestling. I honestly believe MMA is going to create a major revival in high school and collegfe wrestling in this country. For the first time in the history of amatuer wrestling, young people have professional role models to aspire to. |
