Michael Bisping Vs. Chris Leben Lyoto Machida Vs. Thiago Silva Keith Jardine Vs. Brandon Vera Rameau Sokoudjou Vs. Luiz Cane Paul Taylor Vs. Chris Lytle Paul Kelly Vs. Marcus Davis Dan Hardy Vs. Akihiro Gono Shane Carwin Vs. Neil Wain Jess Liaudin Vs. David Bielkheden Anyone know if this is going to be free? Thats the rumor i heard... Does anyone care about Bisping Leben? I personally think Bisping should've lost against Hamil and is now just coasting, and i hope Leben shows his the lights. Machida... Controversial fighter... Sokoudjou... fun to watch. The Irish Hand Grenade... i may use that as the nickname of my history teacher (he looks like a leprachaun) (i have no idea how to spell leprachaun haha) |

thats 3 for hoping Bisping is getting taken out by stretcher... So i know XHD isn't a fan of Machida, what is everyone else's take on him? Is Sokodjou the next big thing? I don't see Vera lasting all 3 rounds with Jardine... Although i'm not a big Jardine fan myself... I joined that UFC fantasy thing... it has something about a league... would the G'tine be interested? |

I think Thiago Silva is an extremely talented fighter...but Machida's defensive style and flawless footwork will allow him to win yet another boring fight...for the good of the sport...someone needs to figure this guy out....its like watching a wrestling match where a guy stalls out the entire match and looks for a way to score in the final seconds of the match...maybe a good strategy, but painful to watch. I think Keith Jardine had his fifteen minutes of fame against a untrained and partied out Chuck Liddell....We saw the real Jardine against Houston Alexander and Wanderlei Silva...flat footed and slow. I think Vera realizes his last fight was a stinker and will come out with guns a blazing...I think Vera will win this fight convincingly. |

Don't forget when Keith Jardine mauled Forest Griffin. Brandon Vera have better have his weight down so, he can actually TRY to fight this time. I like Jardine leg kicks, anybody that can make your body bleed from the inside out is worth watching. Should be a 3 round standing fight hard to imagine these guys trying to wrestle the fight to the ground. |

actually I believe Forest was winning the fight up until he got caught....Yes I will admit that Jardine's leg kicks are world class...but his foot movement is absolutely horrible. |

Jardine-Vera will spark my interest... Guida-Danzig should atleast show that Guida is better then he showed by his fight against Huerta... Machida pwns at the right place, right time... Hope he owns Silva. |

Well, Machida officially doesnt have an opponent due to injury to Thiago Silva... Hopefully they find someone... He can't get his title, if he doesn't get to fight... :) |

I don't understand where you are coming from, Vera coming down from HWT is dumb in my opinion. He will not stack up at 205. |

....then you obvisoulsy haven't watched Vera prior to the garbage he served up last time..his striking, ground and submission skills are twice as good as Jardine's....Jardine has been put up on a pedestal since his fluky win against Chuck...just take a look at his fight against Houstan Alexander and his most recent showing against Sliva...that's exactly what's going to happen to him against Vera. |

Jardine-Liddel could very well be a fluke. Vera is undoubtedly a good fighter, but not necesarrily as good a striker as Houston Alexander... |

Vera was a W.K.A. Muay Thai National champion in the Phillipines...I am going to suggest his striking is a little sharper than Alexander's.. :D |

People keep talking about a fluke in MMA ... I say, you get sloppy, you get caught. Not really a fluke, you just made a mistake, and in this sport, one mistake can equal a loss. Jardine has heavy hands, there's no denying that after wins over Chuck and Forrest. If you make a mistake against him, you're going to get knocked out. Jardine will continue to upset people because of his style ... he's not technical, but his strikes come from odd angles, which can throw off a technical striker. In my mind, Vera will continue to be one of the biggest disappointments in MMA. He's got all of the talent in the world, but he gets sloppy and lazy and makes mistakes. He's got the talent to be a UFC champ (as far as skills, there are no holes in his game). But mentally, can this kid get it done? I hope so ... he's too talented not to. That being said, I think he gets sloppy and gets knocked out by Jardine. I hope I'm wrong! No way Leben-Bisping goes three rounds. Hopefully Leben will put an end to the Bisping fad (though the UFC will probably keep Bisping on, just for the Euro fans). One other "upset" ... Cane can and will beat Sokoudjou. Should be an explosive fight, though. Can't wait for that one. At any rate, nice time for a free card! Just my thoughts. |

I agree with your assessment of Vera...I just think his last fight was an eye opener for him...I truly believe he will put it together this time...just a gut feeling.
B) It would be great if the Bisping fad would end...immediately if not sooner. ..I hope Leban puts it all together, he hits like a mule. |

Yeah, losing a blowout can make you sick to your stomach! You guys see that Koscheck is in for an injured Diego at UFC 90??!! interesting matchup for him. Duster, you need Machida to win an exciting fight ... then people will be on board with you. He's got sick skills, but the vast majority of MMA fans are just boners who want to see a bar fight. It's unfortunate, but the real fans appreciate the art in the way guys like Machida fight (of course, there are some true fans who still find him boring ... but I think that's been more about the matchups so far). Saturday will be fun, two weeks from now will be as good or better! Wish I was heading down to Chicago! |

Machida most recent fights have been absolute snore-fests...He would be incredible if he could combine his sick elusiveness with perhaps a punch or two...If Rashad and Machida ever fight it might set the record for the least punches thrown...this record is currently held the Ken Shamrock vs Dan Severn match at UFC 9...
:D But you know, I used to feel the same way about Nate Marquardt as he used to have an incredibly defensive style...I think both him and Ivan Salaverry getting released after their inexcusable performance at a UFC fight night back in 2005 kind of opened his eyes up....He is one of my favorite fighter now. His fights against Martin Kampmann and Thales Leites were extremely exciting. Koscheck's improvement since TUF 1 is just amazing. I believe he is currently the only man right now who has a chance of beating GSP. Alves and Koscheck's fight will be the fight of the night... |

How will Koscheck beat GSP? GSP is better in every area, including wrestling (which is unreal to think but he proved it in their first fight). I just don't see how he beats GSP. It's MMA, so, of course, anything is possible. But GSP is the best athlete on the planet! And I hope he smashes BJ Penn. Koscheck has improved so much, I do agree there. And I think he's in the top 10 at 170. But I just think GSP is on a different level. Assuming Koscheck wins in two weeks against Alves ... then Fitch vs. Koscheck ... let's get that lined up!! I think that's the best 170 fight that could happen, without GSP involved. |
